:-( Shank and cry at the same time. I don't feel like adding to all of the posts, so I'm wussing out and posting here.
I will say, one of my come to Jesus moments with my own stuff was when I went to Six Flags with some friends last summer. We waited in 90 degree weather for almost two hours for this one ride...and when we finally got to boarding, I didn't fit. They pushed and prodded me and couldn't get the contraption to click around my chubby belly.
So the employees said sorry and turned their backs, and I left the ride, with my friends still strapped in and strangers openly staring at me. I cried in the bathroom for 20 minutes.
But maybe I just didn't know I was fat, and that's why I stayed that way for so long. Hmm.
Re: Man. The fatty posts on P&CE
I really shouldn't have read the posts but I did anyway.
On the bright side this definitely confirms that I wasn't just imagining that some people over there are tremendous douches. How lucky for them that they don't wear their vices and medical/mental problems on the outside for people to judge and hate them for, heh.
I also want to say that Toledo kicked some serious azz in those threads. I have a nest crush!
This whole ordeal has bummed me right the fook out.
I'm going to sit at home and sip water until morning. Because it's all about self control, people.

Ugh it's all so ridiculous.
Personally, I'm just glad that the brilliant minds of P&CE have solved this massive health issue that's plaguing our country in a single afternoon - just stop eating people, duh!
A few people were very insightful, thoughtful and rational with their posts, which I really appreciated. And Toledo WAS awesome. lol.
Much of what was running through my head in those threads was that scene from Shawshank. "How can you be so obtuse? Is it deliberate?" and now we're all in solitary for a month.
Also, I'm really glad you're back, nerdicorn. Mwah.
**Reg on PCE and lurker here chiming in**
Luckily for the board, most of the stupidassshit that was said today was said by people who are either newish, or not board regulars (besides the obvious one). Most of the regs were pretty awesome.
Who are these friends, gault? I've typed myself out on the stupidity of PCE today so I'm horribly distracted by so called friends who would let you stand there feeling embarrassed and self concious and probably wishing the earth would swallow you whole while going on with my bad roller coaster riding self.
I mean dayum, how do you have fun when your friend is hurting?

Hawkeye is seriously a myopic twat. I think I'm more a PCE reg than she is though, so dev is spot-on (since atm I post to PCE roughly never). Also, lol @ 'the obvious one'.
WTF is up with her telling Toledo to "go back to TIP"? I have a girl boner for her because of that thread, but it's not like she posts over here like, ever.
She also told some TIPers to go back to ML. Methinks she only reads ML or TIP when it's about her and thus has trouble telling who belongs there since we tend to post on both boards when a hot topic emerges.

God broc, don't you know that all the other boards are the exact same?
I hope you heard the sneer in my voice when you read that.
I cant even bother myself with what those snatches are probably saying, however..
I just also wanted to say that I've been overweight before where that happened to me and I know how it feels, and I never would let a friend go through that alone.
I don't want to sound insensitive or like I'm bragging or anything, but after I stopped eating people I lost 20 pounds in like 2 weeks. Seriously. The weight just fell off. Eating people must make me retain water like crazy or something.
Yeah that Hannibal Lecter diet doesn't work.
Seriously though-- weight problems are never just about self-control. They usually have some self worth components as well as other heavy stuff. This whole "just stop eating, you fatties!" line is utter horseshyt.
I am sorry you had that experience with the roller coaster, Gault. That sounds heartbreaking though I am with HS in that your friends should not have left you to cry all alone. I would have gotten off & tried to find another ride to go on with you. *hugs*

Thanks, guys
It was pretty mortifying, but shiiit like that has happened to me off and on my whole life, so you get used to burying it down (with donuts, natch) and try not to let the feelings sink in too much. Thankfully, I've healed a lot since then.
My friends were already strapped in, and the attendants wouldn't let anyone off the ride, but they ran looking for me right after they got off. One of them was ranting and raving and went to lodge a complaint with customer service about how I was treated. It wasn't their fault, and they were angry and sad for me. So, not to worry.
If you don't watch out, I'll eat you next!
Cannibalism made my weight skyrocket too. It was like depo.
I have not seen this thread, but now I feel the need to learn who the jackasses are (other than the obvious) so that I can store it away for later use.
It's possible, Mamasaurus. TN has a long memory.
I just like to know who is worth having a discussion with and who I can just roll my eyes at and ignore.
You win
I am inwardly LOL'ing and seething at the same time over the "well, you have 5 stores that carry plus sizes...what more do you want" comment.
There's not enough time in the day to tell her what's wrong and fvvcked-up about there only being 5 stores (with butt-ugly clothing) that cater to an enormous demographic of women...as opposed to limitless stores for the rest.
Avoiding the whole board is the easiest course of action unless you need a daily dose of the liberal mommy wars/rampant hypocrisy.
This is an excellent point.
I will never understand the mommy wars. Is this because I don't have a kid and, therefore, have no opinion that matters?
