I don't feel like working at all this week. The Hill is in Recess (a well deserved one), so I don't want to harass the poor staffers, but happy hours andf long lunches, I am happy to go to.
For haroset, this is the modified one I do...I kindo f mix the Ashkenazi and the Sephardic ones together:
6 large apples
2 tbsp honey (Isometimes add more)
1 tsp cinnamon
? cup sweet wine or grape juice (the grape Kedem works fine)
1 cup chopped nuts (I have used pecan or almonds)
1/2 cup of chopped dates or raisins or dried cranberries (ny favorite)
?1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
?1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
?1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon cardamom
