Shall we do flamefuls or confessions to liven the board up?

Or did we get those all out of our system yesterday and need something else to talk about?

  • Nah, let's do it!

    Ditto!

Actually....mine is the same from last week.  I'm considering going on a date with a guy from Match.  I don't know if I'm attracted to him, exactly, but he's a lawyer and our conversations have been good thus far (even if I'm not feeling that huge urge to meet, if that makes sense).  Here's the maybe flameful part....he's still married, well they filed the paperwork and are waiting on a court date.  Annnnddddd they are partners in their law firm, so he works with her everyday.  He says they grew apart and are able to be friends/partners without incident.  On one hand, I'm all "good for you for being a grown-up" because they have kids and a business, on the other hand, I'm all Huh? because who wants to see their X every.single.day?

  • Oh, I just thought of another one....my DS had friends sleep over last night and they didn't sleep at all....and I'm sending him to his dad's in an hour and he is craaabbbbyyyyy and it makes me happy that he'll be a pain over there and not here today!
  • My friend bought me that book that you all recommended to me. Now it'll be interesting to read next week when I get it. Should I read it openly out in front of hubby so he can see it or keep it away and read it quietly?

    Haha, I like that.

I don't have anything, either.  BF and I got upgraded to first class for our trip down to the Bahamas (don't know about the return flight, yet), so I plan on drinking lots of booze, even though it's a morning flight.  Is that flameworthy enough?

I would do the same thing. I drink a bit on long flights lol

  • I'm kind of boring right now. Only thing I got is that I was invited to a cousin's for Easter where alllll my extended family will be. The fact the me and x-bf broke up was a big deal to all of my family and I haven't seen them since. I really don't want to answer any questions or feel like they are feeling bad for me "Poor M - ANOTHER failed relationship!!" So, I told my cousin that my mom was "lonely" and wanted me to come over and that she just wanted to stay home on Easter. When in fact I told my mom point blank "can you make Easter dinner at your house, because I can't deal with facing the relatives right now?" and she agreed.

  • Mine is pretty bad (IMO).

A good friend is also dating a guy who is AFR. I got on her case (bad) because she told him that she "couldn't do this anymore" because he might get deployed for 6 months.

Yet, earlier this week I said that BF might go active which includes a deployment and I said it might be a deal breaker.

I am seeing ex's being good friends after the divorce being very common now days.  Though, there got to be some boundaries.  I have run into friends whose roommates are their ex while they are dating other people.  I think this would make me insecure if I was the girlfriend.  My xh and I get along very well when we are together with DS, other people sees us and they say they see nothing changed compared to when we were married.  However, I wouldn't want to see him everyday and especially not without DS.

Oh yeah, that would be super awkward. And what if you had to go hang out at their place while their roommate/ex was home??? Nooo thanks!

  • Last night I found out XH's XW got her 2nd divorce and I feel like I am thinking about it too much.

One, because she needs to quit effing wh0ring it up and bringing men in and out of my stepson's life - he's 7 and she's told him to call 3 different men "daddy". (i know, not my stepson anymore. none of my biz.)

Two, because she was such a tw@t to me during the whole split, even though she was supposedly a victim too, I am thinking, 'ha, serves you right' (what a crappy thing to think)

Three, because while we were together and semihappy, XH and I called her divorce a year and a half ago. I got a little sad thinking how we would have shared a laugh about it, or at least that at one time we were... on the same page, i guess. (i am pissed at myself for not being as detached as I thought I was.)

    OK, you can flame.

  • Okay, my confession is I kind of have a crush on one of our sales guys at work. He lives in Colorado though, and I live in Washington. He has the sexiest voice everrrrr. And we email and text all the time.

And it's kind of funny because he manages our cell phone accounts and we buy all our phones through him and everything...... and that's how I met my ex husband haha. He was our phone guy. How weird is that?

And I guess I do have a flameful! I am terrible at letting guys down after dates if I don't like them. This last guy I went on 3 dates with, decided I didn't like him, but I didn't tell him right away, so now I feel awkward like dangit I should have just told him right when I realized I wasn't going to like him!!! But I think he's sort of gotten an idea that i'm not into it since I don't text him anymore or send very long replies, so now he hasn't texted me. I don't know if he's given up? I feel bad cuz he was a nice guy, I'm not going to say anything unless he texts me again, if he does then I'll tell him I just want to be friends or something. cuz really he is a cool guy, and I'd still be friends with him.

I'm thinking orange juice + vodka.  They probably don't serve mimosas, even in first class.  I wonder if white wine + orange juice would be an acceptable substitute, although it will be sorely lacking in bubbliness.  Hmmmm....

  • Thanks, I want tequila now. Smile
  • I am boring. I have no desire to date, or any energy for anything beyond going out for dinner or a movie with friends.

I am not depressed, just the opposite, but I do wonder if I will get to the point again where dating wont seem like a chore or just exhausting in general.

Nope, no real difference. I just suck. Ugh, please don't tell me about the "bad" ones. I don't need extra shiit to worry about lol!

FYI, we talked last night and he has 2 options:

    1) go on deployment with the reserves which would just change our lives in that he would be gone for 6 months

    2) go active which would MAJORLY change our lives in that he would either work 1.5 hours from home or we would have to move, which I am not ready to do.
