Silk blouses and sweating?

I'm trying to switch up my wardrobe--I wear a lot of cotton and wool in the winter.  Now that it is spring, I bought a 3/4 sleeve silk blouse from Banana.  I have an issue generally sweating in clothes (and I've tried things like CertainDri)--is a silk blouse a no go?  I am not thinking of wearing it for work but rather for going out for dinner/on the weekends.

Do you have any issues with silk blouses and sweating?  How do you compensate?

Re: Silk blouses and sweating?

  • I have issues with silk. I don't like the way it feels and it's not something I could wear in the summer months and in the winter I am always too cold to wear it.
  • I love silk blouses, but I can't wear them because they always end up showing huge sweat spots Sad I would wear one under a blazer though.
  • I have issues with sweating as well, so I always either layer my tops or wear black.  I is very, very rare that you see me in a one layer color.  Once I get nervous about sweating, then I am sure to sweat that much more.  Nothing I have tried helps, (Rx's, etc.) it just makes me itch like crazy.
  • I have issues with sweating which is why all of my tops are loose around the arms.  The great thing is that right now there are soooo many cute tops like that.
