I hate microwaving shiit. I always end up with a cold spot that my tongue interprets as a hot spot leaving me momentarily dazed and confused.
I'm doing this palette sewing challenge where I'm supposed to pick a set of colors/fabrics and sewing up some outfits accordingly but I'm torn between two sets of fabric.
I would shank a biitch for some fuuking DQ ice cream.

Also, I am a sewing snob. People sew the most rifuckingdiculous shiit and people sell/buy patterns and tutorials you can easily find for free with some googlefu.

This child has been waking every two hours for the past three nights. I've finally come to a place of peace about it (for now, that is).
I bought some great clothes today, including pants that actually fit. I have a kickass Easter outfit (Greek Easter--traditionally a week after "Western" Easter). Nursing tops that don't scream "I'm lactating! Ask me how" and really cute shoes, too. I'm psyched that chunkier heels seem to be back in now.
You can't just drop this without stating what kind of blizzard. Cuz that's important. Blizzards are serious business.
If brushed cotton is the same thing as flannel, I think that's what most of my dust covers are made of.

MIL told me I should sew and sell things. I told her that I could if I wanted to get a divorce. I cannot 1) handle the pressure to get things done on time, 2) deal with customers critiquing my stuff, and 3) carve out enough time to work/parent/be a wife/and craft for a living.

I've been listening to a marathon of Tori Amos, singing too loudly. I guess I'm getting a jumpstart on being alone, as H is going on another trip shortly. Usually I wait to do that stuff until he's gone

Speaking of nesties with kids...what happened to that PCEer who was from Hawaii and she always had a picture of her kid in a swim outfit and hat in her sig? I think she was a teacher? Did she disappear? Or does she have a new name?

I'll probably regret posting this as it makes me look pretty dense, PCE-wise. I've been lurking for a while, and until last week I thought the "Rascal Avoidance Club" was a club of people who didn't want kids. Kind of like a PCE version of BNOTB. I never opened the posts because I have 2 little kids, and therefore have BOTB quite often.

I am starting to think my daughter doesn't like me. When I was pregnant with my son, my hair grew a ton and was nice and thick and my nails were great. Now I have hair growth but it is under my arms (I seriously shave everyday now) and on my STOMACH. Seriously what the hell am I supposed to do with hair on my stomach? Shave it, Nair it, wax it? Scratch the wax thing because I am sure that would hurt like a mofo but I am perplexed. Oh and the actual hair on my head broke off so much that we had to cut about an inch and a half off.

H got a massive raise at work this week (like, up by 65% with bonuses) and my first reaction was to be a little jealous. I'm so proud of him, but it smarts a little that my career has gone down the shitter in the last 6 months and his is taking off. AND he didnt get his giant bonus until it was too late to send my fatass on vacation, which I so desperately need. Lame.

why did they take away the reeses pieces blizzard? WHY? i can take or leave cups, but pieces are my kryptonite. and yes, i'm aware they stopped making the reeses pieces blizzard in like the late 80s/early 90s and i should just get over it, but WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?
DH fainted in the shower last night. It was REALLY scary but he was fine. He FLIPPED OUT once he woke up and made himself sick, so then he thought he was dying for like an hour.
How much are tension rod shower curtains? He totally took out the one that was screwed to the walls.
That was me too. Now every single time I pass one of the scooters I chuckle.
Tension rods aren't expensive at all, but the one I have falls down really easily. I'm not sure if your kid uses the same bath/shower, so that may be something to consider. My kids can and did easily pull down our rod by yanking on the curtain.
It WAS funny but I couldn't laugh at the time ofcourse, lol. If I realized I fainted in the shower I think I'd be a bit hysterical afterwards myself. He had me check his head for bleeding like 20 times and tried to blame it on food poisoning from the lettuce we ate
. DD was a great helper nurse and got him a baby blanket to put on his back.
The original rod had anchors in the wall that were all rusted out but I wasn't going to mess with them if I didn't have to. He ripped one out of the wall when he pulled the rod down (and bent the rod itself) so I'm trying to just get a rod up again ASAP. Good point on the crappy ones though. We might have to go through a few before we find a type that works. Why does this sh!t always happen on the week before payday?!
I think a while ago the # sign WAS the signal for child-free talk and then it changed.
