Anyone remember Hinessn? I was looking to see if she got deployed yet or knocked up and found a gem of a post about military wives.

Hinessn:
I stay away from the military boards at ALL times. I mean absolutely no offense to you or anyone else, but when it comes to military wives...there's only a handful (such as yourself) that arent crazy. So many of them pop out kid after kid just to milk the benefits and sit at home doing nothing all day every day. There is a reason for the stereotypes! Even my own sister is like this. She has 4 kids and doesnt work, is unhappy, and terribly overweight.
IN NO WAY am I saying all are like this, so don't get p!ssed. In my own office I know of several who lead very successful careers, some even from home. I am active military myself and I have nothing in common with most military wives. There are thousands of military members who only enlist because they need the money because they have children (usually starting at a young age). Its why spousal abuse is so rampant among the lower enlisted. People foolishly think they get more money for more kids, and then end up completely financially overwhelmed. And dont even get me started on the wives who believe they know it all because they're husband is an NCO or Officer...those are even worse sometimes.
I think they were completely and utterly wrong in what they said to you. Infertility is such a real problem and they were b!itches for attacking you. Of course, if it were me my response would probably be just as low haha So sorry we cant just sit at home all the time sucking up our spouses paycheck and popping out kids like a factory.

Because being military spouses is what made those women insensitive. She just needs a lesson in causation and correlation. I don't really remember her either. She's not the girl who got angry about her bunk bed during predeployment training, is she? Because I remember she had a civilian H too.
Haha, this!
Yeah, she had a shiit load of issues besides that, too. She's one to be talking.
Edit: There are a few others on that post who have been flamed here. I'd love to repost all their studipity in that thread but I'd like to retain my MOD abilities.
Hinessen hasn't deployed yet, I don't think. Hinessen's parents were both in the AF and for some reason the AF didn't work out for her, so she went Army. She was super duper positive she knew exactly how the military would be because her parents were officers 20 something years ago. Like BLT said, she started TTC immediately after basic, like while she was on weekend liberty after graduation. She seemed like she wanted out of the military pretty badly.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure she's avoiding deployment and just counting down the days to get out. IIRC she had some sort of medical issues or something, barely got in and then hated it. She wouldn't dare post the same nonsense on this board.
Wait.. so I'm just suppose to sit and home an pop out kids like a factory?
Hmm, I must be doing it wrong!
I'm curious if the same rules apply for dual status couples. Ojo is well on her way(hooray!) but does that mean I have to as well?
I remember her. Wasnt she wanting to get KU to avoid deployment or get out or something?
She got mad at us because we were mean hors who didnt think her plan was super awsome or something.
People dont commit domestic violence because they are stressed about money. That is an excuse perpatrators give to attempt to justify their actions. Its never about the stress or money.

This should get interesting.
I'll go get some popcorn.
I can already hear her scrambling for a response.
Wow. This person is a stereotyping idiot.
Nonetheless, I must agree with her that many military wives do tend to have children way too young, and they have too many. I'm 22 and I'm not having kids anytime soon!! I take many measures to prevent that. I don't get why people have kids so young in the military. Then they get to experience single parenthood when their spouses deploy, and children make marriage even harder. I find it hard to relate to other military wives I know because all they ever talk about is trading war stories of pregnancy and labor! So I can see why this person would have that kind of opinion of them.
Money's no good reason to have kids. If anything it's a good reason not to have kids. There's nothing wrong with having kids in the military but some people think it through and some don't.
This person is insane if she thinks moms sit at home doing nothing everyday though!!! Being a mom is one of the hardest jobs in the world!!!
....
I still think it's ridiculous to stereotype, which you just did.
And your post made me roll my eyes. A few times. Just sayin'.
ETA: I was reading too fast and see now that you said you have a hard time relating to military wives YOU know. I'm sorry that you only know wives that can't discuss anything other than the goings on of their lady parts. And yes a lot of people seem to have children too young "in the military". But for the record, it isn't just the military community where this is happening. It is pretty common everywhere.
I had my first kid at 19 and my second at 22. I had no association with the military at the time. My SIL is 20 and just had her 3rd kid. She has nothing to do with the military. It isn't just military people having kids.
Exactly how many kids are too many. We have four kids. That was our choice. We would have 4 no matter what my H's job was. That was the number we chose. We do just fine.
You just lumped us all into the same stereotype she lumped us in all while bitching about her stereotyping. How does that work?
It makes me sad you don't know any decent people. Maybe you should get out more. Some of the most amazing people I know are military spouses or service members. There are crappy people and amazing people on both sides of the fence, military and civilian alike.
You said it so much better than I did. ITA.
