Everyone works. Not everyone has a job.

Are you being for real?
DD #1 passed away in January 2011 at 14 days old due to congenital heart disease
DD#2 lost in January 2012 at 23 weeks due to anhydramnios caused by a placental abruption
Wait, we're out of the shitter?
This is really my issue with him and with using his wife for info. Yes, she has raised five children, which is definitely work, but she doesn't know what working mothers deal with, especially mothers who have to work and still struggle to pay their bills.
Yes, I am. This was a direct response to RoxyLynn's subject line "Everyone works. Not everyone has a job". II didn't read the replies that preceded mine, so I wasn't addressing any of those.
You're either employed, or you're not. Being unemployed does not mean you don't do any work, and it you have kid(s) you ARE working (unless you're super-rich and paying nannies to do all the child care, but I'm speaking generally here)
Employed or not, mothers work. That's why I personally find the term "working mother" misleading. It fails to make the distinction between mothers who have employment in addition to their motherhood responsibilities, and those who don't. More relevantly, it's inflammatory and feeds the mommy wars, which saddens me.
I'm employed BTW.
ETA: I get that this post is about Ann Romney's comments and that she's pretending she's not addressing employed vs. unemployed mothers, but you don't need a microscope to read between those lines.
