Re: Sunday updates
We went to the beach today. It was lovely.
Yesterday we ran some errands and got some crapp done and revamped our budget to save as much as we can before I go to school next year.
I changed my name
We're going on a Med cruise, hitting Italy and France, and we'll be going to Barcelona (where the cruise begins/ends) and Paris as well. I'm so freaking excited. Totally last minute trip, got an amazing deal on the cruise. We'd intended to go somewhere in Asia before H leaves for an indeterminate 6-9 months, but it's cheaper to fly to Europe than Asia... from Honolulu! Go figure.
Oh, and since I decided to fly out of London (cheaper than Paris by a lot), we'll get to see friends of ours at Mildenhall.
I've got to do laundry and clean. I also have to get myself and the boy ready for the week.

This weekend we spent just doing stuff around the house. H is trying to get as many things as possible done before he leaves in a few weeks. He spent all of today bringing the sprinkler system onto our property (was way over the property line from the previous owner).
I spent today relaxing as I go back to work tomorrow and everyone I have talked to has said they are working 10 hour days because we are so short staffed and it isn't likely to get better anytime soon. I am excited to start doing stuff again but not excited beacuse the long days will likely make me extremely tired, sore, and thus irritated. H and I are going out for ice cream in a bit!
The Dogs and Us
We had a super relaxing weekend!
Went to dinner and the boardwalk along the Red River for my birthday on Friday. Spent yesterday with friends. Relaxed and did a tiny bit of cleaning today and we are now trying to grill dinner quickly as the nasty storms heading our way from Texas roll in!
I love weekends like this. I want this WHOLE summer to be just like this before we head to the new base.

Oh, I guess I should actually partake in non-Pottermore related conversation.. sooo
This weekend I was off work (yay!). Yesterday I cleaned half the house, did some spouse club business, had dinner with a friend and went to see Hunger Games (yay!). Today I did some laundry, took the dog to the dog park and to this event to raise money for one of the local shelters. Since I've been home, I've been watching TV and playing on the internet.
Tell me about it. Like I get it picked twice?! WTF. I might even make another because I finished book 1. Boo.
Not much going on here. The past few days we've been holed up in the house nursing this cold virus thing and DD getting her 2 year molars in! Those things are beastly and I feel so bad for her.
I neeeeded to get out today so I went to walmart (which I despise but they had what I needed) and then TJ Maxx to do some retail therapy. I found some super cute BCBG patent leather peep toe pumps for $22! They're a mother effer to walk in so I need to practice, but they're hot!
I organized my pantry, did some laundry (do I ever really stop?), and now I think I'm going to start on looking up our ancestry per DH's request.
Also, the Subway here has a drive thru! FTW!
Also, I bought a Shake Weight. Don't judge!
We went to one of the large cities near here and played tourist. That was fun! We also went shopping at an REI, and spent way too much money on stuff we really didn't need, but kinda wanted.
And then we went for supper at an oh-my-god awesome place! Incredibly good food, 160+ beers on tap, as well as some good ciders, and a fairly lengthy wine list, with wait staff that knew the menu and knew the drinks so they could recommend pairings... And it was _very_ reasonably priced, considering where it was (right near a major convention center in the middle of the downtown core of said large city...).
Today was a lazy day - slept in, and have gorged ourselves on hockey all day. First game started at 9am local. The only bad part is that I had to go get groceries, which involved a costco run and a grocery store, so I missed a period or two...
Oh, and I made banana bread. Yum.

We had a good weekend. Community Yard Sales on base Sat. It turned out to be beautiful so we walked around for a while and got a few things. We've been sick, though, and I've peed on myself about 4 or 5 times this weekend while sneezing. Luckily I did photos for two families on Sunday and didn't pee during either one of those shoots.
She used to be something else but changed it when the whole privacy kerfluffle went down. So she's a reg with a name that is now being used....twice? I hate the nest and it's stupid privacy policies! But am glad I picked an obscure fictitious name. I win. Bwahaha
No way on the pics. I feel weird even doing it in front of DD. What made me buy it? My flabby arms did.

I had a work contact who had a tag line that said something like "I am a woman of God and greatness." or some such nonsense. I totally giggled whenever she'd email me.
