Monday randoms
1) Our office was broken into last night. They took the time to break down several different doors but don't seem to have actually taken anything.
Ethan fell yesterday and gave himself a black eye and giant gash down half of his face. His poor little eye is swollen shut.

I still have no network access at work and I'm bored. I want to go home and do nothing in my bed as opposed to in my cubicle.

what was point in breaking into your office if they didn't take anything? did they trash the place? that's scary.
I dyed my hair a shade or two darker and I'm not so sure I like it.
my H was on days last week so it was nice to be able to spend the evenings together, but he's back on nights this week and part of me will miss him but part of me is happy I'll have me time back.

It doesn't do quite as well as my T3 that died, but for the price difference it's amazing. If it dies every six months, I can replace it and still spend less than buying a T3 every two years.
Oh I think my sister has that one (and she's had it for a couple years so I doubt you'll be replacing it in six months). I'm such a not-girl because my top priority is speed of drying so I love my conair 1875 watt cheapie that I've used for close to ten years now.
I wish I spoke Korean. The store that I run is in a very Korean populated area. It would be much easier to communicate around here if I spoke Korean. Unfortunately for me I did not do well with high school French and that's where my language learning stopped. I wasn't very good at languages. I just had the most frustrating exchange with a customer. I think she understood what I meant but I really have no idea..
I'm back from Greece. I'm happy to be home with the kids, but I'm in that weird, floaty place where I'm still equating everything to what I would be doing if I was still thre on vacation.
Our basement renovations were supposed to start today. We spent the weekend clearing out all the junk in the basement expecting the crew to be here first thing this morning.... Nope. Not here. This is the basement that will never get finished. Ever.
We need a new roof. Whenever Fran goes away we get monsoon-like rain and I have to deal with a leak somewhere. We had a nor-easter yesterday into today and sure enough, I could hear a drip in the bathroom yesterday afternoon.
I had a dream last night that the Red Sox scored 75 runs in a game.
BAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!11!!1!!!!!! They'll be lucky if they score that many runs all year!
Also, my subconscious hates me. Everyone else gets to have raunchy sex dreams. This is the dream I had last night.
I was dating this guy (that happens to be one of the other professors at work, weird) and I went out to dinner with my parents. I texted him to tell him I was coming by after dinner. He sent me back a dirty text, and the entire rest of the dream was me trying to thing of what to send him back and then fighting with my phone because I couldn't get the message to format correctly. I never left the restaurant. I never went to his house to have the sex. This is the stupid junk that happens in my dreams. I'm a dream prude.
Mr. Spiderman was restless this morning and woke me up a half hour before our alarm was supposed to go off with his getting in and out of bed and flopping around.
When I did get up to take Maggie for her walk, I discovered the park by our house was completely trashed. It was crazy-nice yesterday (80 degrees!), so everybody in the world was out picnicking and playing baseball, etc. But they just left their garbage all over the place. It's disgusting. Maggie was thrilled and wanted to investigate all the garbage (she managed to eat some unknown item), so that slowed her down to a crawl and I had to cut the walk short just so we'd be able to finish in a reasonable amount of time. But I felt like a huge Cheney impatiently dragging my old, deaf, hobbly dog through the park.
When I was getting ready this morning, I discovered one eyelid has a spot where it's all puffy and swollen. I must have a stye or something? I dunno. Either way, hooray!

I'm so happy to be at work. Miles was way too difficult yesterday. We are now finishing up our wills and it makes me sad. The lawyer wanted to make is so that we never have to touch it again, but that entails dealing with what to do if a child predeceases us...not a place I want to go. Ever.
I am happier for Bill and Giuliana than I should be, considering I don't know them.
You and me both! They just had such a horrible road to parenthood that I am super happy for them. Thank goodness they had those embryos before she found out she had cancer.

I have two matching arrow shaped ones on each inside forearm from ironing- they're about 20 yrs old.
I used to have a burn mark on my arm from a curling iron, but it has faded considerably. For the first few years you could clearly make out the "CON" from the Conair imprint on the iron part.
They are expecting a baby this summer through a gestational carrier.

I want to stab my coworker in the face. I asked her a month ago if I could take over a website she usually updates and she said fine, no problem, etc. Well, I did all the work on said website and show it to her today and now she wants control back because it would be "easier". Except her original site had about 8000 errors and misspellings and broken links and mine has NONE and I know she's going to eff it up again.
Anyway. Yay Monday.

Speakif of work woes, I have essentially had no computer / network / Internet access since last Wednesday morning and the current outlook shows at least a week more of this nonsense. I need my friggin email and share drive to do anything. Thank god for smart phones (and for not having my work email on that or they would have taken that away too!)
