Re: am I racist?
Not racist. In fact, that would make me happy. I can order Indian takeout anytime. I couldn't invite myself over for dinner to an Indian family's house anytime.

I would say most people are racist, but do not base their life on being racist, if that makes sense. My grandpa always made this statement, and I never knew what it meant til I was in high school, "birds of the same feather, flock together."
Ok, I need to see that, please!
One time about 15 years ago a friend and I were lost in a sort of sketchy neighborhood* of Denver, looking for a friends apartment building. I said in a snap way, "let's look for an old white lady and ask for directions." My friend looked at me harshly and I re-evaluated my statement and said, "let's look for an old lady and ask for directions."
I did re-consider my prejudice of race after that incident. But I think i clearly have prejudice against age and gender.
*sort of sketchy in that it was a downtown city neighborhood and we were suburban high school girls. I don't think it was really that sketchy. We were just out of our familiar territory.
I'm sure I make racial assuptions. I do think everyone does. I like to think I do a little better than most. I try.
Last year I lived in an apartment building and was invited to an end of Ramadan feast by a lovely muslim couple who lived a few doors down. Pretty much the entire building showed up to partake and the food was out of this world delicious. And even with the 25 or so people there, there was so much we each got a huge tupperware container of leftovers.
So, if you're ever invited to celebrate the end of Ramadan, say yes!

It looks to me like this baby was playing with the cat and the cat wasn't really playing along. In fact, it looks like the cat was biting him. The baby seems to be doing a combination of laughing and crying. After what looks like the cat is biting at the baby, the baby hits the cat.
