Wha?

Ok, aside from The obvious douchebaggery of the content of this post, it's pretty obvious that nunya isn't actually trolling anyone from ML (in this post), yes? I think she's pretty clearly agreeing with them.

Re: Wha?

  • Yeah. I'm Team Nunya on this one.

  • We can discuss the dress/flag issues too of course, because I'm sitting at a full week of no computer at work now and I'm dying. .
  • I agree, nunya was agreeing with them.

as for the dress, I think it's ugly and the school has a right to enforce a dress code.  I can absolutley understand why it would be considered offensive.

  • ML has people they just jump on (and would never admit to agreeing with, ever.)

She was very clearly saying the exact same things almost everyone else said.

  • I don't get it. Are they ridiculing her because they think she thinks one of them said it? Or are they ridiculing her for stating the obvious?

I think the first one. The latter wouldn't be trolling right?

  • But if your whole point is to use an AE to make mild criticisms against the board it makes no sense to use that same AE to agree with them. So it's still a fail.  Quit being a lazy ass and sign back into your regular account to call an obvious idiot an idiot.

  • I will actually dissent a little.

I would say that the school sets a dress code for any school function, so if this violated that explicitly then ban it by all means. However, I'm not 100% sure I'm on board for labeling this as hate propaganda and banning it because her opinion sucks. I generally associate rebel flags with ignorance and assume racism goes with it, but those a-holes still have a right to express their ignorance.

wendy, I would agree if she were wearing it to a non-school function.  some club, a private ball, sure, but I assume this was in violation of the school's dress code and therefore I don't have a problem with her being turned away.

  • This is a reminder that it's the season for me to be annoyed at the onslaught of prom pictures on Facebook, and the hideous and inappropriate dresses the girls wear.
  • Yeah, bob, I don't think she's said much that I didn't agree with somewhat.

So here's a question. What if she was wearing it in Mississippi WHERE IT'S STILL PART OF THE FREAKING STATE FLAG?

That's because she says things like "the shade of brown you are wearing is slightly less flattering than the shade you wore yesterday.  BURN."

  • She claims she's worn clothing with the flag on it to school and other school functions, so it's either okay or it isn't. That's the one part of this whole thing that annoys me, if in fact, she was allowed to wear it at other school functions.

Two of them?  Even better!  You can totally make them into omg-inappropriate-look-at-me-rebelling earrings.  That would REALLY show 'em!

Thats kind of what I was getting at. If it is actually against their dress code then it's clearly out, but if not, I think that gets into some gray areas.

    Yes.  It's my disguise.

  • Sometimes I wonder if the AE's on ML are actually AE's.  I don't post over there, ever.  But I do lurk a lot.  Lurkers can know *** too, and can decide to "come out" with guns blazing.  I think the idea that a lurker is calling them out on *** is funnier than an AE because they get in a tizzy about it being someone they know that's "too chickenshit" to come out as themselves.

  • seriously, you posted a close up of the earrings so everyone could see how ridiculous and inappropriate they were.  It was your passive aggressive F U to your work, don't get all defensive about them now, own it.

  • I would, but the stick is preventing me.  It also may or may not have a chain on it that leads to my wallet.

  • This county is very close to the county that I live in, and as far as I can tell (according to others I have talked to that go to the school or live there), it is against their dress code. She says in the article that nothing has been said before, but I don't believe it. The county to the east of Gibson County had a race related shooting at their prom just the weekend before. I don't blame the officials one bit for their decision to send her home. GC has been having a lot of tension lately, and I can see something like that spiraling out of control to a very bad situation.
