S/O - movies that made you cry like a lunatic in public
Re: S/O - movies that made you cry like a lunatic in public
If we lived near each other we could go to movies together - cause I do the same thing. DH is always making fun of the fact that I'm a huge sap. I cry at almost EVERY movie I see...it's horrible. I have to bring tissue and I never wear makeup when I go. Sigh.
I'm also one that cries at almost all movies that are even a bit sappy. I cry because they are happy and I cry because they are sad. Pretty much everything already named definitely got me. H and I watched "Little bit of Heaven" this weekend, we both cried. He's not usually a crier at all, not even a little, but the subject hit close to home as he just went through this with his friend. I felt bad for suggesting we watch it...it was described as a romcom, they totally lied!
Even commercials can make my eyes well up.
I don't cry, I BAWL MY EYES OUT at every little thing. Plus I'm a noisy bawler so it's extrenely embarrassing
I cried some pretty proverbial tears watching Dumbo. I cannot even think about the scene when momma Dumbo sings her lullabye from inside that cage and rocks the baby with her "nose" (I don't know that word). Gosh, just heart wrenching.
Up is another one, it just needs to begin and I'm out of control. I'm sure I cried at Big Fish (love it!), Titanic was pretty bad and so is Forrest Gump, when momma Gump dies and Jenny dies, and when he waits for the school bus with his kid at the end of the movie... Ugh.
This. I saw it and liked it but don't think I cried.
I cry/cried at:
Phantom of the Opera (usually just a few tears in the privacy of my own home, although DH is always mystified: "But you know how it's going to end. Why does it still make you cry?")
Marley and Me (buckets in a movie theater)
and I'm sure some others, but I can't think of them now.
ETA: I can't believe I forgot Dumbo. It came on tv a few years ago and I made DH watch it (American culture and such). I bawled, and he just kind of looked at me like I was crazy.
I can't remember the last time I cried like a lunatic in public for a movie. I just remove myself mentally from the situation if it's going to happen. I know I cried at ET when I saw it as a kid.
Tofu, my H cried at Big Fish. I, seriously, didn't understand why but didn't say anything.

Now Nesting from Chicago, IL My nail blog:
Oh my god. When she slips into the bathtub with him and says, "I'll never dry out."
Oop, there I go. Can't even talk about it without crying....
Ok, you people must all go see Life is Beautiful right now. All time, most amazingly wonderful movie EVER CREATED.
I've actually only seen it twice in my life (and with a 5-10 year gap in between) because the movie is so emotionally exhausting that I can't handle it more than that.
It's one of those that you laugh and cry at the same time.
There's a scene in the beginning where he unrolls this carpet for the woman he loves and I just lose it. Heartbreakingly beautiful. The whole thing.
I don't cry that often at movies (DH does more than me)! There have new a few that get me every time:
Up
Atonement (sooo amazing but sad)
I can't think of anything else at the moment but there's a few more!

My Doha Adventures
I am so glad I wasn't the only one. I had to pause-start-pause-start the film on the plane to keep from getting out of control. I think I scared my seatmate.
I'm the type of girl who cries at the drop of a hat. It sucks. Even the frickin' commercial for the episode of Deadliest Catch when the captain dies makes me cry. DH simply doesn't understand me.
As for Big Fish, that one reeeeeally got me.

I start sobbing early on in that movie now because I KNOW what's going to happen and its SO SAD!
I can't believe I left this one out! One of my favorite movies ever. I've seen it so many times! Roberto benigni is a freakin genius,I love him!
Steel Magnolias, My Girl, Titanic (I know, I know), Stepmom, those are the first to come to mind but there are so, so many more. I'm a sucker.
Last week I watched Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. OMG the water works.
