  • there is so much wrong about this.

horrible doctors who let a woman get pg with that many... who won't reduce on top of it all...

and the fact that mexico isn't really known for excellent medical care - i don't imagine those babies, when born and if alive, will have the best care they could get.

it's just pathetic. Gives women struggling with IF a bad name - so many people think we're all crazy like these women.

i can't even click on the story to give her more attention. vomit.

ETA: just saw it's fake... glad it's THAT kind of crazy instead.

I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.

SO glad this is fake. That would be so irresponsible. I'm sad that there have been actual women who tried it.

This chick in Houston just gave birth to sextuplets on Monday.  She made it to 30 weeks.  No verification yet but it seems her doctor didn't properly monitor her.  I'm pissed because every single news article has printed misleading information about the probability of multiples when using fertility treatments.  They keep referring to IUIs as a "cheaper" method than IVF.  Which while technically true is not why it's performed.

I saw that and it makes me want to scream and throttle her doctor. No responsible RE would have done an IUI with that many follies present. Hell, we were nervous when there was one "perfect" follie and one smaller follie.

And this is why people want regulation on fert tx. (I am not saying *I* do, but it seems like it's after stories like this that everyone squawks for stricter monitoring and regulations. Ugh).

    TTC on and off since April 2007. IUI#1 (50mg Clomid + Trigger) 3/14. BFP 3/25 at 11dpo. No heartbeat at 8 weeks on 4/26, D&C 4/27. IUI #2 7/22 (50mg Clomid +Trigger)= CP. IUI #3 8/16 = BFN. IUI#4 9/14= BFN. IVF#1 started 10/31; cancelled 11/15. New clinic; 1st visit 12/26. IVF #1 (take 2) cancelled. IVF#1 (take 3)Feb. 2013! 2/9/13 ER = 25 eggs. 24 M/22F. 5dt (SET)2/14. 2/25= BFP! Beta 372!
  • Between this and the bogus "sex with your dead wife" law in Egypt, I'm feeling especially distrustful of the media which clearly doesn't fact check, well, anything.

Caring for nine infants all at once would reduce me to tears.

9 infants with guaranteed special needs.

doubt they will all make it.

They won't, since they aren't real.
