This week's Fat Tuesday post...
Re: This week's Fat Tuesday post...
Anything you can achieve through hard work, you could also just buy.
right? we had gelato twice a day (no wine, was KTFU) and all the pasta a person could eat, and also still lost weight from all the walking.
and speaking of regular ice cream, went to leopold's 5 times while in savannah last week. OMG.
How many times did you drink wine? They didn't offer it with breakfast at our hotel.
Our general practice was to split a half-liter at lunch and a full liter at dinner, meaning we both drank the equivalent of one bottle per day. But that's still only twice a day!
Except on our last day, when there was a miscommunication with the waitress, and she brought us a full liter with lunch. It's not like we weren't going to get a full liter at dinner, too!
We're a mile high here in Denver and we've built up quite a resistance. We are CHAMPS drinking at sea-level. One NYE in Miami, we split a bottle of tequila and barely felt it.

Yeah, going down in elevation to drink is something. You'll be drinking and wondering where the hell our buzz is when everyone else starts having a good time.
Yes. I think I say, " I need," " I deserve" or " I want" too much lately. So I'm trying to reduce my processed food intake.

I backpacked across Europe about 5 years ago (post university) and gained 10lbs in a few months from all the booze and food, even though I walked a ton.
No fair.
Me thinks the Great American Beer Fest being in Denver might be a bit messy with the non-conditioned folk
Anything you can achieve through hard work, you could also just buy.
Yes, yes it is. Many people don't realize that you need to chug water alongside the beer.
There's a Chick-Fil-A in the NYU dining hall. Not quite the same, but acceptable when you need a chicken sandwich.
I agree.
Marie - what I miss most in NY is Jack in the Box.
Dammit!!! When I was a student there I think the "best" thing we had was Burger King. *cries*
Moxie, I don't think I know what Jack in the Box is. *runs to Google* Maybe everyone in this country is right, New Yorkers aren't real Americans if we don't know what this stuff is.

<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="Home DI'm sad for you about not knowing Jack in the Box. They have the best jalepeno poppers! You know, I just made that comment (about New Yorkers not being real Americans) to DH on Saturday when he thought Red Robin was fast food and I had to correct him that it was, in fact, a "sit down" restaurant. Also, I just took him to WalMart for the first time when we moved to Texas.
Smithfield's Chicken 'N Bar-B-Que makes the most amazing fried chicken ever.

What else can we throw in this post to get it to five pages?
Pretty pleeeeeeease?
I am having pierogies for dinner tonight. And not good homemade ones either. Mrs T's frozen ones. I can't wait.
Yesterday for lunch I had spaghetti'os. And I mean the double size can, with 240 calories a serving and approximately 3 servings in the can. It was awesome.
I love Mrs Ts pierogies! That's one of the weeknight dinners I picekd up from my mom. Kielbasa, half a shredded cabbage, a sliced onion and a box of pierogies sauteed. I get the turkey kielbasa so i don't feel too guilty, hehe.
Have you seen the new Mrs Ts flavor? Its a whole grain pasta with sweet potato filling. Pretty tasty.
I haven't had pierogies in years. I think I'm scrapping tonight's meal plan to make some. Thanks!
We had fried chicken and lobster at my BIL's wedding on Saturday. Well, I mostly had booze, but there was fried chicken and lobster available.
I just realized I didn't have any cake, though. WTF??!?!?! F*cking wine, making me forget about cake...
It could be worse. I get commercials for a bunch of places that aren't within 50 miles of where I live. Sonics, CeCe's, Dunking Donuts, Dairy Queen, Applebees on my tv but no where local (Mostly the Dunking Donuts and Dairy Queen peeve me). And I'd never heard of Cracker Barrel or Chick Fil A before the nest.
You need to visit the south stat!
Its Dunkin Donuts.
Dunkies if your collar is blue
Eh, Cracker Barrel is not worth a visit. You can get the same types of food at mom-and-pop places, and it will be sooooo much better. Cracker Barrel is the Olive Garden of southern food.
Have you had their pancakes? I've spent years trying to find a recipe that compares, and I can't find one. The grilled chicken tenders are awesome , too. I never order anything else, so the rest of the menu could be meh.
Can I call it Dunkies if I have no collar and think it's adorable?
Oh I have. I LOVE that place. Have you had the chocolate pecan pie? It's ah-maz-ing.
Also the owner lets people bring their dogs inside and she gives them clumps of pulled pork to snack on. Maddie loves that place more than I do.
Cue dog wars.
