Mother of the year story in here....
NUTLEY, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a 5-year-old New Jersey girl sustained burns after her mother took her in a stand-up tanning booth.
Patricia Krentcil is charged with child endangerment.
Nutley Police Det. Anthony Montanari told The Record newspaper police were called to an elementary school on April 24 because the kindergartener was experiencing pain as a result of a "pretty severe sunburn."
The 44-year-old mother, who is very tan, has told various TV stations her daughter was in the room at the tanning salon, but not the booth.
New Jersey law prohibits anyone under the age of 14 from using tanning salons.
Krentcil posted $25,000 bond and was released to authorities in Camden County, where she had an outstanding warrant on a municipal charge.

OMG! What a relief! My local news did this story and I must have missed the location so I thought it was in my area. For once the stupidity isn't FL!
For real - did anyone see this woman? I didn't know a "white" person could be that color. She must have baked one too many brain cells to bring her kid into the tanning room with her.

There was a young woman where we honeymooned whose skin looked just like this. She laid out topless and nearly naked in front of our cabana every day we were there, all day long. We were both fascinated with her skin and couldn't stop looking at her. She looked like a lizard of some kind!
OMFG, and the child is a REDHEAD. Tanning is freaking dangerous for redheads. I oughta know.
