Re: Organ donation on FB
I don't think it's stupid at all.
It's been reported that several states saw more people sign up for organ donations in one day than they often see in a whole month...all because Facebook links people to their state's website to register.
I think a small victory for the thousands of people who are laying in hospital beds waiting for a transplant right now.

It can be AWish, silly, etc., but given that it's working, I wouldn't call it slacktivism.
I disagree. She was talking specifically about something that many people, including (later on) me, did on their Facebook pages. I made the point that the organ donation link to the registry is no more stupid than many of the Facebook features that she was using. It was a specific link. It is no more worthy of an "oh, isn't this dumb" than any of the things that I took from the side of her FB.
I think the comment regarding "many of your recent posts" (meaning mine) is a little bit of an overstatement considering I barely post here anymore, and then only when I find something to be especially egregious and can't keep from responding even after I try.
I am absolutely ok---in fact, ecstatic that summer is almost here.
Sorry that bringing FB battles to the Nest is peachy keen, but the reverse isn't.
