North Carolina voters OK constitutional same-sex marriage ban
Re: North Carolina voters OK constitutional same-sex marriage ban
I just got back from Raleigh, where I was attending the most beautiful wedding I've ever seen. My best friend married his long time boyfriend and every person in that room was overrun with tears of joy.
This makes me ill.
I just saw Tami Fitzgerald on the news, I wanted to slap the smirk off her face.
Anyway, is there any possibility this can get turned around like Prop 8 in CA?
I'm sorry to say this Alecia, but every North Carolinian's liberties were hung out to dry because of this wedding. Their wedding made everyone else's marriages less safe and less sacred.

H and I had a long talk about this subject this morning. Somehow Christians need to find a way to get christianity back. It just blows my mind. Never once in my whole upbringing, which involved going to a protestant church in rural Iowa, was I ever taught to think of other people like this in the name of Christianity. NEVER
When did we lose the lesson of tolerance, love and acceptance. I just don't get it. I have said this a million times but it drives me so insane. There is no part of the Christian teaching that supports this. None-Sure you can pull out som asinine bible verse but it goes against the whole reason Jesus lived. Why have we forgotten this?
/end rant
It's true. It was all part of the evil Gay Conspiracy.
I think you'll be waiting for a while.
And I'm letting you know, wifenumbers, that for every anti-gay comment we hear, members of the 12-24 board donate to gay rights organizations. So keep preaching if you want to further the gay rights cause!
Don't bother engaging with her. She drops these turds and then walks away.
Big, stinky, bigot turds.
On behalf of all those that dont believe in your god, I would like to sat "Fuuuuck Yoooouuuuuu and your bible."
I am so pissed at NC. This is the first time since I moved here that I have felt anything but love for the state. So lame.
::dead::@z-snapping!!

This is one of those things they feel they can "interpret" from the Bible. See also: wine is actually grape juice. Gay acts are a sin = gay people are a sin.
You are welcome.
And just one of the many reasons why I will never move back. That and my whole cray dysfunctional family lives there and I would end up in Butner dealing with them.
Hiding your hate and prejudice behind religion is disgusting.
I'm over this country. No, really. I'm over Democrats and Republicans and our sh*tty 2 party system. I'm over bigoted assholes wrapping up their intolerance in their religion. I'm over them voting on other people's civil rights. I'm not sure I could be more disenchanted right now.
Just over it.
+1
I can't wrap my head around such hate/ignorance.
Agreed. I just don't get it.
Could there be tons of blind dolphins and we don't know it?
Why else would they have evolved the ability to use echolocation?
