We Need To...

add some life to this board! Or maybe it's just me and I have nothing else going on during the week when hubby goes to bed (he gets up at 4 so he's in bed by 9).

With that being said.... let's play a game :)

I'll ask a random question, the next person answers it and asks another off the wall question. Kind of silly but what else is there to do!

Where is 'your spot' on the couch?

Sounds fun =]  I agree, the board is dead.

We have a sectional couch with a chaise lounge on the end...which is all mine =]

    Ok, next...

If you could have dinner with one person from the past, living or dead, real or fiction, who would it be and what would you ask them?

  • Why such a hard question?!

I think Flavia de Luce.  She's 11 and British and a fictional character from my favorite book series.  I would buy her ice cream and introduce her to my car, Dolores in hopes of our vehicles becoming friends (her bicycle's name is Gladys).  I think the reason I like her is because she is EXACTLY me as a child!

    OK, next person:

Tell of a time where you had an embarrassing tumble (i.e. tripping in public)

Ha, I have to answer this one!

The first date with my husband I took a tumble but I managed to recover, semi-gracefully. After the movie (The Blind Side) we were walking back to the car and we had to step down quite a bit to get to the car and I, of course, had heels on and took a bit of a tumble! I recovered as best I could but still felt stupid! That was the first time that night, haha! When he dropped me off at my car, I went to give hubby (then first date Tim) a hug and I tripped again so I fell awkwardly into his arms!!!! Needless to say he learned early on that I am anything but graceful :)

What is your one guilty pleasure that you hate to admit to people?!

    Hey, Hey Hockeytown!photo hockeytown_zps6a7377b0.jpg
  • I will admit a really good one that I used to have, but I've given it up for a few years now (I swear).

I was really into Webkinz.  Those little plushy toys for third graders that came with a code to activate your pet online.  You played with them like Sims characters and you went to the arcade and played childish educational games and earned money to build your Webkinz pets a house and put them in fancy clothes.  I had 5 of them: a penguin named Chilleigh, a panda bear named Chow Mein, a camel named Jamelle (my name spelled wrong, its how it is spelled on my Birth Certificate, but it meant 'camel' in Arabic so my parents legally changed it to Jamael, pronounced the same, which now means 'beautiful' in Arabic), I had a kangaroo named Sheila, and finally an Otter named Ernie (looked like a professor of mine).

    Same question! Guilty Pleasure!!

What is your favorite memory as a child?

Learning to ride my bike. My bicycle gave me so much freedom, and I could ride anywhere I wanted. The older I got, the further I went! Cycling brings me calm and it's like no other feeling, especially when you finish a particulalry long ride. I've done a few charity rides, and it gives me such satisfaction to raise money for a good cause (cancer, MS) and feel amazing when I made it the 50 miles or 70 miles.

If you could be anywhere right now, where would it be?

Back on my honeymoon in the Bahamas!!!

This is my favorite question to ask people.... if you were a book, which one would you be?

    image

  • If I were a book, which one would I be?

Any of the Cat in the Hat books.  I mean honestly, who wouldn't want to live with the Cat in the Hat in Whoville?  My sister and I loved these books and spent hours reading them.  At one time we had them memorized, but sadly, memory slipping away!  Now we have managed to get almost the entire series for my niece & nephew.

If you have any regrets, would you go back in time and make it right or do over?

  • 1.  Good health for my family

    2.  A true vacation with my H - you know -- one where we don't go visit family or friends, but go somewhere where we know no one!

    3.  I'm not going to lie - wealth.  I would just love to be able to afford to do things that we always have to put off because we have to work!  Duh

Would you work at your current job if money were no object?

  • imagelittleshrink:

work at your current job if money were no object?

absolutely not.  i mean, i like it here, and the pay is great, but if money were no option, i would love to pursue a culinary degree or my dream of having a homestead.

if you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

if you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

On an island in the Caribbean.  My husband grew up in the Cayman Islands and has the most terrific stories to tell.  Of course, I would love the weather and the laid-back attitudes on the islands.  But, we'll probably live in Atlanta for a long time.  Both my sisters are here and so many close friends. It'll be great to have our child grow up around cousins...
