Wed: What's for dinner tonight?

So I'm procrastinating...

What's everyone doing for dinner tonight? We're trying a new Moroccan Chicken Stew tonight...should be interesting!

Re: Wed: What's for dinner tonight?

  • I'm either making homemade tacos with Mexican rice or we're going out for BIL's birthday. Not sure which yet! Your stew sounds yummy. I like Moroccan food.

  • I think I'll just warm up the leftovers from the crockpot lasagna I made on Sunday! It turned out great! I edited my recipe a little bit but heres the one I went off of.

  • I am always jealous of these posts...my H is never home for dinner so I usually stick with easy stuff...tonight though I am meeting a college friend for dinner so Im excited!

  • That stew does sound yummy! will you share the recipe?

I took ground turkey out of the fridge to make lasagna forgetting that I needed to use up some panchetta and green beans. So I might make the lasagna for dinner and a panchetta and green bean risotto for lunch the rest of the week.

  • Wednesday Night is my kickball nights, so H and I are typically on our own for dinner, unless he waits for me, in which case I pick up Chipotle on my way home.

    YUM.

  • I will share--here's the recipe I found.

     http://www.lhj.com/recipe/stews/stewed-moroccan-chicken/

It is really flavorful--H was a bigger fan than I was, but I'm not that big of a fan of cous cous anyway. The chicken was really tender, however, and I chowed down on that and the legumes! I'd give it a try for sure!

Also--I made my cous cous doubled--2 cups of water, 2 cups cous cous, a little bit of olive oil and a little bit of salt in the boiling water, throw the cous cous in and let sit for 5 minutes works great!

  • I made my first ever crock pot dinner! I made chili and it. was. fabulous! I also made cornbread! I would share the recipe but I kind of just threw stuff in the crock pot and yeah.. turned out great! =o)
