So....is this board pretty much non-existant now? Maybe it's time for me to move on.

I'm kind of bummed. I really don't want this board to die out but I have no clue on what to do to keep it alive.
Our house seems a lot bigger with furniture not in it. Funny how that happens.
I'm hoping now that school has started things will start to pick up.
Everyone have a good weekend? I sunburned my legs. I was too occupied reading The Hunger Games trilogy to notice that while I was reading on the lawn chair my legs were getting fried. Oops.
Yeah I hear you two. I don't want the board to die, but it seems that most have already moved on. I like talking to you all though. shame.
Like i said last week we COULD start our own pro board. If people left because they didn't like the Nest, they may come back.
I think a lot of people simply keep in touch with Facebook now. It was a close enough group that everyone felt comfortable sharing their personal info with eachother and now they don't need TN. Too bad I don't have a FB account.

The weekend went well for us. Saturday's move didn't take long at all. Of course it helped that we did move some stuff during the week. Of course now we have things in 2 different places and some of the things I packed I didn't realize that I would need them. Thursday day will be the last night DH & I sleep in the house. Sad.
Wendy: Burned legs no fun. How did you like the book?

Speaking of FB. Since I'm not friends with a lot of you on FB, Twitter or what ever Social networking site, you probably didn't see what happened at the office yesterday.
DH & I went in to work on the kitchenette area and while he was cutting into the countertop I happened to look into the sink and saw a bat lay in the sink on a small saucer. He wasn't moving at all so I said something to DH and he came to look at it. DH go a napkin to grab the plate to get rid of it thinking it was dead. NOPE! Little guy moved just enough for us to realize he was alive yet. DH took him with the plate and placed him on the outside ledge of the window in the office. Poor thing looked so helpless. We added some water to the plate to see if we would drink it and after "yelling at us" he did suck some of the water up. After a bit he started to move and made his way off the plate and onto the ledge. Which was where he still was when we left yesterday. This AM he was gone.
I'm thinking when the nest made those changes a few months ago it drove a lot of people away. While I didn't use much of the national boards I wasn't really bothered. I use the nest just for the GR board.
Yeah. It just makes me wonder if people will ever be back to posting on another GR board, here or Proboards. They switched back to the old format, and a lot of people are still gone, KWIM? I'm not totally opposed, I just don't know if it will make people "come back".
I think they would at least try. I've heard that the Nest really turns people off and some are just fed up with it. AND I think you can make the (pro)board more private if you wanted. Like requiring a sign in and what not.
Deeder- a bat huh- no thanks. And his screaming at you was his way of thanking you :-).
Wendy- We did a lot of nothing over the weekend. Went to arts beats and eats. Saw this cool sculpturist (is that a word?) who will be at ArtPrize. Slept, ate, slept more
I guess another question for me is how do new people find the board? I only found the nest because the knot brought me to it. New people are fun.
He was kind of cute for a bat. The hair on his body looked very silk and smooth. If it wasn't a bat I would have wanted to pet it. We are not sure how he got in. I wonder if he has friends?

I loved the books. I liked the movie better than the first book, but I did like the second and third books too.

Lorenzo? I recently saw that name and I think the kids nickname was Enzo. Do parents practice saying name before actually choosing it for their child. Do you say it calmly and then maybe yell it randomly though out the day. I've never had to name a child. I have names I like but never have had to use. For SS we rarely use is last name just the first 2.
Maybe the dreams mean your subconscious wants another baby.
Dreams can be crazy. A few weeks ago I had a dream that DH & I were in a street fight and were surrounded by dark shadowy figures and I was able to pull out a flaming sword from my pocket.
