Great news Kernal!!

Photo update - the kids were originally going to be in colors but now everyone will be dressed in black. I feel like the photo is going to look so morbid.

We had to do this once with The Dudes family. In Target wtih like..12 of us. It was horrible. But then I was like..eh, I'll never see the pic again and I think his grandmother is the only one who displays it. It is stupid though. And really dumb that you're all wearing black! Sorrry!

AW - Round 1 of amnio results came back great. Just hoping that all other chromosomes are the same but we won't know until next week. We also ordered all of our new kitchen appliances and we're narrowing down the cabinets. Demo should start hopefully prior to the new year!! Lastly - we're refinancing and saving over $200 a month, which will be helpful. I lied...lastly...I'm taking off tomorrow and we're going to Buy Buy Baby to start the hunt for car seats, stroller, etc.

Vent - My MIL is at it again drinking. This is really the last bullsh*t we need right now. It's just so frustrating that in a time when The Dude and I really need her, she needs us. I just can't do it. I don't have time for it anymore.

Big Cheers for all of the AWWW'S! Boo for all of the vents, and hope they aren't as bad as they feel right now! There were too many to go back to give special notes, and I think there were more Awww's than vents.....which is good. Special shout out to baby awww's though

I don't have any vents or awwws today. Life is status quo right now, which is a ok by me.

Confession/Vent: I have never been so busy at work, which is a good thing, since I'm trying to ignore the family drama that has been going on in my life for the better part of a year. I'm just tired of it and I am at the point now where I feel like I'm parenting my separated parents.

AW: the mister has struggled with nicotine addiction (either dip or nic-replacement gum) for the better part of 20 years. He's 95 days totally free of any nicotine, and I'm really proud of him.

My ridiculous and embarrassing vent: you all know how much I run (duh!) and I've been involved in planning the Philadelphia brain tumor race for the last 2 years. It never fails, they always screw up MY bib. Even in the years I didn't plan the race, but ran it, my time was always wrong. In the last few years, I have finished 1st overall for survivors, but b/c of these screw ups was not recognized at the race until weeks later, and by a much smaller circle of people. I know that I need to get some perspective and not biitch about the damn race bibs b/c I am one of a handful of brain tumor survivors that can actually run the race and I should count my blessings. But...GRRR!

And I'm really happy to see such good news from so many of you and seeing positive updates that will result in GOOD changes in your lives.

omg Kernel, I want to give you a huge hug! That is wonderful news, I actually got teary eyed. JenD - I'm picturing it to look like the addams family, bummer. Great job to the others, promos, weight loss, etc. jessgetoffyourbuttandrun and HW, I have a spare room. I got nothing.

Congrats to all the Aw's I reall y have nothing as great as everyone else, I finally have my own car again. I got a VW Beelte about 2 months ago, and I love it. Thanks to a lovely person, dh and I now have a 17 game package to the Phills.

I'm late in responding...

My vent: This is a horrible time of year to have gestational diabetes! I just want cookies and sweets!

But...looking on the bright side, it has forced me to eat healthy and I haven't gained TOO much extra weight this pregnancy.

i don't have anything noteworthy to share or complain about, but just wanted to say congrats to everyone who has posted good news. That's always good to hear, especially around the holidays. And @JenD - why not wear a really loud and funky scarf?? It will certainly stand out against the black! And @Jessica - since it's too dark out at 6am to go running, why don't you try an exercise tape? I prefer running outside myself, but it's not often possible in the winter so I get stuck running on the treadmill. To mix things up a bit, I'll pop in a Jilliams Michaels dvd instead, or watch something from the fitness channel on Comcast On Demand.
