ROOMBA?

So does anyone have this new roomba? The one that vacuums hard floors and rugs? I was thinking of getting one, but they're so expensive.  I wanted to know, is it worth it????

Re: ROOMBA?

  • A friend had one...until it took a dive off her stairs and killed itself.
  • honestly i think between being mezmerized by watching it, and worrying about it crashing into things, and trying to walk around it ---- its faster and cheaper to just plain vacuum the house. and get some physical activity in while you're at it.

we've got about 1500sqft of carpet in our house and it literally takes me 10-15 minutes to do the whole house. the only PITA part is the stairs and a roomba would be useless there anyway. for me - i can easily find 10-15 minutes in my week/month to vacuum, so a roomba really isn't worth it.

  • I have horrible allergies so I have to vacuum everyday or I get extremely sick so our Roomba has been amazing! I can set it to vacuum everyday while I'm at work so it never bothers us. The new ones have a sensor that detects drop offs so it may be worth it if you have stairs. My Hubby got it for me for Christmas off groupon! It was only 275, so I would look on there first, maybe it will come up again.
