If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
Also posted this on the Delaware Babies board but does anyone have any experience with the YMCA in either Newark or Elkton? I'm thinking of joining.

Re: YMCA
My sister has a membership because her oldest goes to the one on Kirkwood Hwy all of the time. It's within walking distance from their house and he goes to play basketball and stuff with his friends.
I was actually thinking of joining too. There's no joiner fee in January! I just don't know how much I would use it...
I've only ever been a member of the one on Kirkwood...and I agree that it was way too crowded. Although most gyms are this time of year from my experience. My husband has talked about us re-joining the Y and I think once we have children we may, especially since they have daycare service...but until then I'm staying where we currently are.
If I remember correctly, the cardio machines had a 20 or 30 minute time limit on them and you had to take a number to keep track of when it was your turn...I like to spend more time then that on the treadmill. Buttttt, if you want to have access to a pool, classes, a gym, etc, then I think the YMCA is a good idea. My husband used to go to the downtown and the one on 40 and he doesn't remember the overcrowding or time limits, so that may just be a Kirkwood thing.
