  • The biggest smile I've had lately was about 30 seconds ago when I got confirmation that our roommate is moving out in two weeks!!!!

    Yay!!!

My confession is that I have to tell people at work that they screwed things up without hurting anyone's feelings and I am really nervous.  I have never really had to do this before, but I guess its what happens when you get a promotion, right?

  • I've lost a lot of my girl friends over the years, due to many things.  I started hanging out with this one group of girls last year, there's 4 of us.  I was really excited to have girls to talk to, hang out with etc without the drama.  Well lately I've felt really left out and I don't know what I did.  Two of them do go out a lot together, which is fine, but when I see pictures on FB with the 3 of them I get bummed.  The first time I was really upset and I said something to them (which is a first for me, I'm usually a pushover), and they apoligized and said they thought it was too far for me to meet up for a short time... but they should have let me make the decision.  But then we were all going to another girl's bday party, and again I see they all got together before hand, and didn't ask me.  It would have been out of my way, but I probably would have went to see them.  I don't want to whine everytime I see the 3 of them hung out without me, but the feeling of being left out sucks.

  • Mana - I'm sorry about your friends.  I would feel the same way.

Further confession - The complete lack of communication and decision making in my office is giving me a headache.  It is also causing the morale to nose dive and it really sucks.  Both DH & I love our jobs and this atmosphere is killing us.

  • my husband's best friend was dumped by his girlfriend recently (named Amanda) and I'm bummed about that for selfish reasons.  I don't have a lot of female friends and the 2 I do have live far away.  Amanda came to our wedding and I thought she was really nice.( my husband knows her a bit better because she would go to the bar with her boyfriend and his friends).  We all saw a movie together in December and I was excited that she and I got along.  I hoped we could become friends and start hanging out more.  But now that they aren;t together I can't make an effort to be friends with her and that's kind of sad (seeing as how I need friends!).

  • My confession: Duh really isn't a good handyman, most of the time I just do it myself but being 25 weeks pregnant its difficult!! We have to do a lot to prepare for this baby as well as our toddler (ie baby gates ect .) And I simply can't do it! He's a typical man and just skims instructions instead of following them properly and then blames the instructions when its all wrong! He also gets hot tempered when it goes wrong, which it always does bcs he doesn't use the instructions properly. He managed to botch my moms new china hutch recently! I was so embarrassed!! I don't want to offend him but I dunno how much longer I can bite my tongue!

I actually do stuff he sayes hes going to do so that I don't have to deal with his hack jobs and temper :S

  • my H is the same way- with instructions and not being able to put things together- he actually returned one of those cube shelving things because " the pieces arent all there and there was no way to get it together right!" i think he just didnt read the instructions and then got frustrated he couldnt figure it out! lol i am more handy then he is- when we moved in i asked him to hang the curtain rod and he said he had never used a drill!!! i was shocked i come from a very handy family ( 5 older brothers and my dad who are always fixing things by themselves!)

ok now my confession- h took a leave of absence from his job ( working in a restaurant) to try to find a new job < he has a masters degree in business and finance ) - he has not been having any luck and he doesn't want to go back to the restaurant at all! but him being home ALL the time is driving me crazy! i would just like to have maybe 2 hours a week where he is not home and i can be by myself !!!ahhhh
