Hi!

Every day seems to last forever, probably from lack of sleep. But the weeks are flying by... I can't believe I've been back to work for 2.5 weeks! It is manageable most days. Busy, but we have a system and it's working and we're surviving :)

I do, however, feel like I'm in a rut with friendships again. I struggle to make friends as I'm not naturally very social and it's just so hard to maintain or begin friendships when life is so busy.

Sequestration is still happening, but no one is paying attention anymore. I'll count myself lucky if I only end up with a 20% pay cut for the forseeable future. They're talking layoffs next fiscal year (beginning in October) and I don't think I've been here long enough to avoid getting the axe. Let the aggressive saving begin.

How's life with you?

  • thaqnks for the pottery idea! I actually thought of it yesterday and called the accidental artist, but their number is disconnected, so I emailed to ensure they are still open- otherwise we will go to that place in EG!
