Hi, I live in the midwest and am wondering what the going rate would be for a 18 year old babysitter? We have 4 kids. She said it doesn't matter to her, whatever we want to pay her and I want to give her a fair amount. Any input is appreciated! Thanks!

Baby Girl loved for 16.5 weeks. 3/1/12
I expect the baby sitter to pick up after themselves, anything they play with DS should be put away and any dishes in the dishwasher. No tv unless they ask, like around Christmas our sitter brough a special movie and asked me first. We were gone a while that day so I thought it would be fun for them.

"You know you're in love when you don't want to fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams." - Dr. Seuss$10.00/hr. for 2 Kids - each addtitional kid 5.00/hr. sounds good.
For my babysitting (yr. 2000), I charged $8.00/hr for 3 kids, driving to their home. I would watch the kids when the mother left to go to her shift at the hospital, and there was some hours before the dad came home from work. The children were already home from school by the time I got to work.
The schedule was: from (300 - 730p)
Free-Play/Play Activity - Usually coloring, playing in the backyard, etc. I wouldn't take the kids off of the property unless the parents wanted a specific activity (swimming, etc.)
Snack Time
Pick up toys
Homework/Help with Homework
Dinner (specified by the parents)
Clean Up Kitchen
The Dad came home
