  • I don't think I could move somewhere that didn't have fall. Or, if I did, I'd need two homes so I could come back here for it.  I'd go south after Christmas.  I can handle snow for a few weeks then I'm DONE.

  • I have never owned a pair of boots, but want/need some!  I have small calves so it's hard to find boots that don't leave an enormous gap (which I hate) that aren't SUPER expensive.  I think this season, though, I might just suck it up and shell out the money.

I also love sweaters and scarves.

I want some pretty black boots.  Either with a heel or a wedge.

I can't wait to wear leggings again.  They are my favorite non-pants to wear.

I need to update my wardrobe too! I have a lot of old clothes that really need to go, but I am so bad about getting rid of clothes.
I love wearing leggings too. I always have a hard time finding tops to wear with them. I feel like I have zero fashion sense when it comes to leggings

  • If I wear them out in public, I put them under a sweater dress with knee boots.  Or I throw on an oversized tshirt.

I have bought these shoes so far for fall:

And I have these boots and booties from last year that I will be wearing a lot:

  • And I mostly wear jeans and cardigans, although I also bought a lot of sweaters (like boyfriend sweaters, for the most part) last year. And I mix it up among skinny jeans, boyfriend jeans, and dark bootcut jeans. I wear scrubs to work, so I hardly ever have to dress up, so I have a pretty casual wardrobe.

  • I would love to update my look for fall. I'm thinking I might start wearing more scarves. Maybe some pencil skirts.

  • I try so hard to wear scarves (and I have a shit ton of them), and I don't usually end up liking the way they look, sadly. I do wear them more often in the fall though. Some people wear them year 'round and look amazing. I am not one of those people.

  • I love the idea of wearing scarves but because I am tiny it looks like I went and wrapped a sheet around my neck.

I bought my riding boots in the spring, but it's been too hot to wear them.  I can't wait to wear them again.  I also live in cardigans.  Ugh, I should fit into my prepregnancy clothes in the next month to six weeks, but that's all boring.

ACTUALLY!  I remember that when I was super pregnant, J told me he thought I deserved to go shopping when I wanted to after Wes was born.  I've been holding off because I'm not back to my size yet, but it's motivation.  He's going to regret telling me that.  My usually shopping is piecemeal.

What do you guys think is a reasonable amount to go shopping? I know it varies, but it won't include shoes.  Probably a few pairs of jeans/pants, a dress or two, some sweaters/tops and maybe some jewelry.

I recently got close to my prebaby size after having baby #2. I need pretty much everything because my wardrobe sucked in between babies. A few weeks ago I bought new casual shoes, new dress shoes, and new brown lace up shortish boots. I also bought 2 pairs of jeans, 2 cardigans, 2 shirts, and a watch.

I still need to get some non-jean pants for work and I want to get some tall black boots. My shoe wardrobe was terrible before this shopping binge. I will probably get some more shirts too.

I could probably use some fall clothes since I am starting to find holes in some of my stuff. I think I'm going to use some of my bonus money that I am expecting to get rid of some stuff and invest in some new pieces
Whether or not you find your own way, you're bound to find some way. If you happen to find my way, please return it, as it was lost years ago. I imagine by now it's quite rusty.”

Awesome!  Congrats on the weight loss! I still have 10 to get to prepregnancy, but about 30 total that I'd like to lose.  When I get there? There's no holding back when I go shopping!

Speaking of clothing.  @sassypants527 (I think) posted about a library shirt dress from Ralph Lauren.  Or, at least I think it was RL.  I can't find it anywhere.  Did anyone else have any success? I'm thinking it's a great dress to go with my boots.
I think it was Tommy Hilfiger.  I looked for it too but it's not for sale on their website.
Oh phooey.  That's not cool.  I want it badly.
This.  I haven't looked for it in a while, mostly because it's probably way outside my budget.

Most of his shirt dresses seem to be a little under $100.  I'm hoping it's not more than that when it's available and I can find a coupon or something.  I love me some coupons.

  • I want to buy all the things.

Speaking of fall boots, I have a pair of red brown (cognac) flat riding boots from Madewell that needs a new home. My calves are slightly too big and I'm tired of jamming myself into them. They can probably be stretched out since they're leather but I'm too lazy. Size 7.5 I believe. PM me if you're interested.

  • Tights! I miss being able to wear tights (it's still 100+ degrees here). I can wear all my summer skirts and not worry about them being too short/my legs too white, etc. Sigh.
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

  • @booneybear - that blue dress with the stripe is amazing!  Where's it from?

@phoenixrising11 - I love scarves.  I have so many that look fantastic in the store/on the rack/on someone else.  I watch youtube videos on how to tie scarves.  They make me look like a linebacker with no neck.  I'm useless.

I love cardigans.  My absolute favorite is the J.Crew Jackie / J.Crew Factory Clare.  Every time they go on sale I stock up.  My friends make fun of me because I own the same sweater is 20 different colors.

I can' t wait to revisit my wool pencil skirts.  I've missed them!

  • I'm trying to go for casual chic this fall/winter. Lots of cute sweaters, scarves, skinnies, boots, statement jewelry.

I work for a software company which are, by nature, very causal places to work. Case and point, I'm wearing a graphic tee, drawstring capris and sandals today, and my boss and I call our lulu pants our "corporate pajamas" which we wear on Fridays in the winter. There's no walk-in clientele, so we can wear whatever we want unless we have meetings booked. My goal is to look put together and still be really comfortable this fall/winter.
