  • If we're looking for scary I change my vote to Pet Semetery.  :)

  • IMO opinion, Joyland is not scary AT ALL but more of a "who did it".  If you want to be scared, that's not the book.

  • I kind of would like to read Pet Cemetary. I've seen the movie several times, but never read the book. And my sister who is obsessed with all things terrifying and Stephen King, LOVES the book.

  • Can we do something middle-of-the-road scary? Like, not so scary that I can't read it?

I can't do Pet Semetary. The movie traumatized me.

This is one of those books/movies that I didn't think was terrifying or anything, but there is one scene that has stuck with me and runs through my head a bajillion times and actually I'm not sure that I could make myself read this just because of that one scene. *shudder*

There's one scene from the movie that scares the living crap out of me.

  • Hmmmmm ... maybe I'm not in the mood for scary.  There's enough of that in life without it being present in a book too.

    Have fun, ladies.

Ditto. Joyland is good, but not scary at all.
