Yup. It's not the book, it's you. 

Totally. That's why I try to avoid these but now can't bc of Yellow Circle (yup, proper noun now).

Some books I love I can view and say "I loved this but I can see how someone else may not." And then there are books that I sincerely cannot understand how every person on earth would not enjoy.

And one of them is being listed here over and over.

And I will never trust those people again.

Why do we do this to each other? These posts always make me so sad.

 

I don't really have a "hate" list, but a couple that were just okay for me:

Outlander (I gave it like 3 1/2 stars. It started out very slow for me but I eventually got into it)

The Book Thief (I just really didn't get it. I almost think I might have liked it more if there wasn't so much hype about it that I'd heard)

The Night Circus (I plan to re-read this one though. I read this during a very busy time of year for me so I kept falling asleep)

I didn't even finish The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Though I own it so I will probably go back and finish it sometime.

Eh, it makes me a little sad when people can't find the same enjoyment I do from a book, but it doesn't make me upset or judgy. People have different tastes. That's okay.
