Poll: Do you plan your reading?

Re: Poll: Do you plan your reading?

  • I try to plan what I'll read next based on release dates of books (if I have a review copy) as well as library due dates. But sometimes I just pick up something random because it looks interesting at the moment!

  • I planned all of my books out for the rest of this month, and have not picked up any of them in over a week. So I am going to go back to whatever I feel like reading at the time- if it counts for a challenge- great!

  • I sometimes know what I'm going to read next, but never more than that unless it's a series.

  • Only if I check out multiple books at one time.  Otherwise, it's whatever I feel like reading.

  • I sort of plan. I use the library for my reading so I will hop on the computer, look through my GR list and then request books on the library site....then I'll read them as they become available.

  • I plan what I might use for most of the challenges, but I don't usually end up reading most of them, because I'm a slow reader. I keep a list of top choices from those, and then when I finish something, I pick something off the list.

I do tend to plan a quicker, lighter read for my next book if I'm struggling to get through something and need a boost.

  • I try really hard to plan out what I'm going to read.  I'll put 10 books on hold at the library with varying hold lengths and somehow they all manange to come in at that same time.  I ALWAYS know what I will be reading next and usually know the next 2-3 books.

  • I don't plan too far in advance and usually just read what I'm in the mood for next although I have an idea of what I might pick up based on library holds.

  • When I know I am getting close to the end of whatever I am reading at the time, I start looking for something else to start once I am finished the last book.  I just check to see if there are any new books from some authors that I like available at the ebook store.
