GTKY: What do you do for work?
Re: GTKY: What do you do for work?
After the first of the year I will either interview for GM or find a new career path. Whichever route God or the universe places me on.

I'm an Implementation Specialist at an online literacy company. I review how schools are using the program and work with them to use it better. It's not my favorite thing, but I work from home 3 days a week, so that helps.
@Sewilson33, I feel your pain! I SHOULD be teaching too. Got my masters and graduated in 2009, I lucked out with a job my first year then got RIF-ed. The second school shut down, now I'm chained to a desk. Not my ideal job, but it pays the bills for now. I hope you can find something soon...

I am an operations specialist for child nutrition services for a large school district. I process free and reduced meal benefit forms and handle our point of sale systems. I handle reimbursement information for our federal reports as well. I also make sure that all 31 of our kitchens are running functionally and properly and that all the lunch ladies dont kill each other in the 3 hour shifts. That is the hard part.
I also over see our summer program where we serve free breakfast and lunch to any student under the age of 18 at different sites around our district Monday through Thursdays all summer.

I also work very very part time as a library clerk - I shelve books/media, assist patrons looking for items and with checking them out, and process holds.
Between those very part time things, I spend a lot of my time thinking about what I should do with my life. Part of the reason I was continuing to study Web Development was for I job I no longer have, and I've been thinking of switching to an accounting / bookkeeping degree.
