Is this the post with the 17yr old girl taking about how she is holding out but getting married as a virgin real soon?
As I said before. I believe getting married as virgins prevents a lot of the world's problems.
It just irks the daylights out of myself and others. When some goody two shoes makes a huge deal of it and prances around bragging about her purity and goodness.
Some of those girls have been giving BJ's for years and a few doing it anal to protect their" virginity"? What kind of virginity is that ?
  • We both waited and both love the fact we saved ourselves for each other. It's so special. :-)
  • You know what I find interesting? How different views of "purity" or even "virginity" are, sometimes even in what are supposed to be the same cultures. Some people go extreme and think kissing before the wedding makes you impure. Some think any type of touching (including dancing) is impure before marriage. Some think you are no longer a virgin if you have oral sex. And some think you lose your virginity when a penis is in your vagina and only then. I don't judge people who didn't wait, because that decision worked for them. I respect people who did, because I do know how hard it was to wait until marriage. And I respect my SO who waited until our wedding night, just like I did. But I am so sick and tired of the world telling me what is truly pure and whether or not I truly waited for marriage because we made out before our wedding, or we slept in the same room before we were husband and wife, or we should have kept our touching before marriage platonic (can't help if my SO has a very fine butt). Can we stop nitpicking on what is and isn't pure, and instead respect people who made the decision without doubting whether or not they are worthy of saying that they waited? And on the flip side, can we stop putting judgement on women who made the decision to have sex before marriage? They weren't wrong or impure - they just have a different viewpoint than people who did decide to wait. End vent - sorry, I might be in a bad mood today, so I was a bit rage-y.
