Re: Happy Friday
It's the last goat show of the year. And one of my BFFs is getting married.
Here's my plan, I'm crazy:
Tonight: DH and I will stop at the hospital and visit his grandpa that had a growth (possibly cancer) removed from his kidney. They got all of the growth, FX no cancer! Then drive down to BFE Minnesota and camp for the show at 9 am.
Saturday: Show, show, show then leave around noon (hopefully I'll be done showing.) Drive 3 hours back for my friend's wedding at 430 stay have dinner, stop at the farm take care of the animals at home, back in the car 3 hour drive back to show to camp and day two 8am.
Sunday: Show, go home, feet up. DH gets sucked into NFL vortex.
I was thinking to myself don't be a crazy person, but then I was all like, "This is the last show of the year!! I CAN'T MISS THIS!!!!!!"
No plans tonight, continuing the fight to keep O in her cradle and out of our bed.
Tomorrow, I don't know. Maybe getting paint for the house. I may hang out here with O and send H to work at the house. We'll see.
Sunday is supposed to be gorgeous, so something outside as a family. H agreed to watch less football since the Jets are playing Monday night (I guess we're enemies on Monday @ramstein1027)
H does all of the errand running on Monday with the baby so I don't have to do anything on Saturdays. It is kind of glorious.
Rest of the weekend - mission: get adjusted and survive motherhood. This includes taking care of myself from surgery. I already need a stool to get into my bed because it's too high. And the dog has no idea what to do with the baby. He just stares at her with his toy in his mouth.
Tomorrow / Sunday - breakfast at 9 am with a friend then hitting the road with T and visiting some friends in central ny. Stopping at one town about 2 hours away, staying for a few hours then continuing in another hour to different friends. Staying over night with them and going to the circus with them the next afternoon. What's great is this second stop is to visit a family I used to babysit/nanny for when the kids were infants. I've stayed in touch with them, the girls are now 14 & 12 and were in my wedding party 2 years ago...can't wait to see them with the baby!!!
