What are gas/oil prices in your area?

At Costco in NOLA yesterday, regular was $1.51.  But we suck it straight off the nearby refinery teats, so gas is usually on the lower side compared to most other states.  Of course, my prissy car takes Premium and that was $1.91.  But at least she gets about 35 MPG.

I used to drive past a gas station on 460 in Virginia.  It was right in front of a distribution point.  I wouldn't have been surprised if they just ran a pipe over.  It was the most expensive gas for miles around.

Oh, I'm surprised!  There is a city called Chalmette about 10 miles outside of NOLA that has a big Shell refinery.  And the gas prices in that city are usually another 5-10 cents/gallon lower than NOLA.  When they don't have to truck the gas far, it helps keep the prices lower.
