Re: Iowa

  • Ok, I heard a better explanation of the whole "coin toss" incident.  Yes there were coin tosses.  She did not win because of the coin toss.  She won 6 coin tosses, true, but there were more coin tosses than that overall.  In fact, Sanders won more coin tosses than Hilary, meaning, she did not win because of the coin toss.

I'm waiting to hear the results of O'Reilly's investigation.  He's pretty good at this stuff.
  • @catsareniice1  Why are you surprised Rubio did so well?  He may not be the "evangelist" candidate the way Cruz is, but he's far more conservative than people are making him out to be, he is just capable of presenting his conservative views in a way that doesn't offend or divide people as much as other candidates.   Iowa likes conservatives.  NH likes more moderate candidates, so we'll see what happens.  I think either Christie or Kasich will surprise people here in NH.
  • I was not too surprised with the Republican results because it's a state highly populated with religious people. I sort of expected a Cruz win. However, I was surprised to see how close Marco Rubio did compared to Trump.

Iowa has not chosen a U.S. president in 16 years, so I guess it's still anyone's game.

Hillary tied with Sanders shows her incompetence. A 74 year old democratic socialist is right on her tail. I just read that she won over a COIN TOSS? I thought it was a joke until it was confirmed on my local news station.

Regarding Cruz or Cruz's campaign making things up about Ben leaving. Bill O'Reilly said he believes the rumor may have been started by CNN. On his show last night, he said he will investigate and have a follow up story on his show tonight.

I really don't think the closeness of the Dems reflects poorly on Clinton, but more on the impressive showing of Bernie. Just like there are Repubs looking for something new, so are the Dems.

So now, Trump is calling for the voting results to be nullified for Cruz due to the Carson episode and Cruz's campaign flyers that allegedly violated campaign rules.

  • We all  knew Trump would run with this

I really think it's possible that Cruz saying Ben was leaving was a mix up. However, what is the story behind Cruz sending out those letters to people saying they had a problem with their voting record?

Yeah, the voters got flyers that read "voting violation." It was somewhat of a scare tactic. Cruz issued a public video apology to Carson and in he did state that the Cruz campaign people had told the precincts that Carson dropped out. This was based on the CNN report (which was made up). But when a corrective statement was issued by the Carson camp, the Cruz campaign spokespeople in the precincts did not retract the prior news about Carson. Either they didn't know or they decided not to. What's interesting is that multiple precincts told the CNN news and multiple ones did not retract. The one that did retract was the one at which Candy Carson was present when SHE made them retract the statements. I think CNN is at fault, but it does seem that Cruz camp let the rumor hold and didn't do their part for truth.
