2. If you said yes to #1, how often? Our big U/S as well as the NT scan...my DH works nights so he usually sleeps during the day. It would be a pain for him to have to go and Im fine by myself.Maybe he will start to come towards the end, we'll have to see...

1. Did/Does your DH go to your doctor?s appointments with you? ~He went to the bigger ultrasound appointments only (with twins I had approximately 15 ultrasounds so he couldn't go to them all) and at the very end of my pregnancy he went to the NSTs with me.

3. Will/Did your DH take time off when DC is/was born? ~Yes, he was off initially anyway because he works for a company that shuts down in winter, but he also took a few more weeks paternity leave when he got called back to work.
4. If you said yes to #3, how long? In total with the regular lay off time and the paternity leave weeks he was off for 8 weeks after I gave birth.

2. If you said yes to #1, how often? He went to the first appointment (heard the heartbeat), the NT Scan, the big u/s, growth ultrasound and a few other appts. over the course of the pregnancy.

4. If you said yes to #3, how long? He stayed with me in the hospital for the 3 days after my c-section. Then, he was home for another week and a half from work.

DH did go to each appt, but for the first 7 months I was seeing a doc in CT while we were still living in Brooklyn, NY. I highly doubt he will go to all of #2's appts knowing what the appts entail.
DH got a paternity leave of 2 weeks, plus he bulked up some vacation days and ended up with almost 4 weeks off. It was great to have him there for all that time. Not sure what he'd end up with for #2.

2. If you said yes to #1, how often? He came to my first appt at 8 weeks, then he came to the ultrasounds. I didn't think he needed to come to the regular checkups when I was in the waiting room longer than I was in the doctor's office. After 32 weeks I had weekly appts for nst's and there was no way he would have been able to take time off from work for all of them. I will have him come to the 36 week u/s next time though, I didn't realize it would be a 4-D u/s and it was amazing.

2. If you said yes to #1, how often? All but one, it was an NST (I had had one a couple days before. This time the baby wasn't moving so he had to meet me at the hospital.

4. If you said yes to #3, how long? 1 week all that was allowed, could have used more. I was induced so we spent half tha week in the hospital.
