I haven't been on this board in ages, but I had to make a few comments about my hometown.  I grew up in Clermont, like my parents did, and I totally understand what StingShark is saying.  It had really changed SO much!  I now live in Leesburg and work in Minneola, and every time I go to Clermont there is another store opening, even in this economy.  I always tell people that ask about Clermont that it's a great place to live if you're tired of the big city.  If you're looking for a suburb, it's perfect.  But for country girls like me and Sting, it's just too much!

I can understand that. Like I said, I grew up on 20 acres of land in the country myself. LOL I did want to get the heck out of there when I got in college...moved here and lived the hustle and bustle life of being in the middle of everything in Orlando. It's been 8 years and I'm ready to start stepping back from the hectic city life. So Clermont was a good stepping stone for me. It's not quite the small town I grew up in but a breather from Orlando. I think eventually I will end up back in the panhandle of Florida somewhere in the country(as long as it's by the beach...LOL) but for now, this is a good step for us. Not to mention in our line of work unless we change careers or start a business we are always going to have to live near a big city. But, I will say that growing up riding four wheelers and mud riding, climbing huge oak trees, fishing on Saturdays and making mud pies was truly a fantastic childhood.
