Who has started Christmas shopping?

I've got a few things, but I'm no where near done!  I'm hoping to be done by December.  H & I were talking about that the other day.  Yikes!!!  I can't believe it's so close!

I do my shopping throughout the year too. I've just got a couple ornament exchange gifts to buy.

I bought a few things for the exchange games we play in our family.  I'm always on the lookout for a good gift deal, so I'm usually Christmas shopping all year round, LOL.

I usually do the majority of my shopping on black friday.  My mom and I start around 5am and shop until the afternoon.  We really enjoy it.

Last year I did homemade gifts for extended family and the only shopping I needed to do was grocery shopping.  Don't know if I'll do that again or go the gift-card route (impersonal, yes, but they live 12 hours away and we don't see them often anyways).  However, I have begun thinking about who's going to get what.

There's no way I'm stepping into any retail store after T-giving so I'm hoping to have all my shopping done by then.  But, I made a lot of gifts this year, too.  I've made quilts for MIL and my little sis, scarves for my BIL, SIL and their kids and will also give them a basket of homebaked goodies.  I know exactly what I'm going to get DH but I have to wait until it is available on November 1 (he wants a keg of C-mas brew from a local microbrewery).  So, I'm well on my way but still have some shopping to go.

I have two gifts for DD and that's it.  This year I think we are only buying for the kids and everyone else will get some homeade goodies, I was thinking of canning apple butter/applesauce and maybe some chocolate covered pretzels or something along those lines.

Now that we have to travel so much at Christmas we tend to do most off of our shopping after we have arrived at our destination.

I have just 3 gifts bought, only because they could not be purchased where we are going.

I tend to glance and pick things up if I find a GREAT deal, but for the most part we follow shopping traditions. (Everything is a tradition in my family.)  All the women go shopping after they sober up on Black Friday.  Usually it is just for the fun and deals, we do not really do any hard core shopping.  Then, the second Monday in December, my father and I take off and finish the rest of our shopping.  Starting off at Starbucks, going through two shopping complex's and one mall, wraps and Micheal's Deli for lunch, one more shopping complex and Chili's for dinner and margaritas!

We started shopping this weekend!  It feels so good to have a big jump on it.  I hate shopping around the holidays because everyone seems grumpy and busy and crabby.  I do my best to avoid all shopping after December rolls around.

I only have gag gifts for my family's gag gift exchange that I bought in northern Wisconsin on our way home from vacation in September.

Beyond that, I always like waiting until a lazy Saturday in late November or early December - I like to shop when it's cold outside and you need a Starbuck's in hand to do your shopping

I already started!!!  It helps that there's an extra paycheck this month, too.

So far we got our parents and IL's big gift sets from Omaha Steaks. I ordered them 2 weeks ago during some big sale, and I scheduled them to be delivered 12/23.

Otherwise I got a few little odds and ends. I am looking forward to Black Friday sales and hope there are lots of good deals!

Me!!!  But only because I'm due on New Years day and I know I won't want to battle the malls at 8-9 months pregnant, that and we're trying to spread the cost out somewhat.

I'm almost done!  The only gift I have left is for the gift exchange with my siblings.  We don't draw names until Thanksgiving.  I have to get stocking stuff for DH too.

I haven't. I always go out on Black Friday to hit up the sales, and then I go out ~ two weeks later to get price adjustments and do a bit more shopping, then the day after Christmas to get further price adjustments.

Me! I get paid weekly and this month has an extra check. So we are using that for x-mas shopping. Picked up a few things for the nephews this past Sunday.

Last year we waited till 2 weeks before x-mas because of wedding planning. It was a pain in the asss and I told the hubs we are going to be done by the first week of Dec from now on so we can enjoy the holidays.

I usually start in July.  We have a lot of people to buy for, and we'd rather spread it out (DH and I both LOVE Christmas, anyway) so we don't have to spend all our money at once.

Shoot I started Christmas shopping at last years after Christmas sales.

I won't be done really early this year. I have half the gifts I'm getting people but I can't get some until closer to Christmas. Besides I have two people on my list who are impossible to buy for.
