Re: Who has started Christmas shopping?

  • I just started this weekend with some great things at Target that I stumbled on. I usually have about 1/2 done by my birthday (November 16)

  • I've started. But I won't really kick it into gear until my vacation during the first part of Nov.?

  • I've made a list for everyone and have started purchasing things I need to order online
  • I have officially started, only bought 3 things though. I have no plans whatsoever to shop on Black Friday...I get that some people love it and make it a tradition every year, but I worked retail for too many years and I can't.

  • I try to hold off until Black Friday. There are such good deals I can get so much more for people.

I try to pick things up thru the year that I think will make nice gifts.

    This.

  • I did all my shopping for my boys after Christmas last year, so they are covered. I will do the rest after Thanksgiving most likely.

  • Oh I am so mad at myself about this. I ordered all 5 of my nephews (3 of which have birthdays in December) and my 1 niece all of their presents. Then I got busy and forgot to go pick it up at the store. Now I am either going to replace the order today or I may go shopping this afternoon to pick up some items. I have some things done, but a long way to go. I would like to be at least 80% of the way done by Thanksgiving.

  • I used to be, but I found that waiting closer to Christmas prices are far lower than any other time so I'm waiting this year.
  • I started in September. I just buy a few presents each month. Hopefully I plan to be done the week after Thanksgiving. I have to see what I can find on Black Friday! :)
  • I've got some things picked out - but not purchased yet. Waiting until after Thanksgiving to get my stuff, but I know what I want to get.

My son's 1st birthday is three weeks before Christmas, so it'll be interesting this year.
