    5. Not off the top of my head so I'll give a random fact instead: I played roller hockey growing up, and only stopped because my parents were concerned the boys were getting too big and I would get hurt. They were probably right.

    2. Favorite sport to watch?  Football,  but baseball is a very close 2nd

    3. Greatest sports moment you've experienced?  Michigan State's win in OT 2 weekends ago over Michigan (first one that came to mind).  Magglio Ordonez's walk off home run against the Yankees to go to the World Series in '06 was pretty sweet too

    2. Favorite sport to watch? NFL, followed *closely* by NCAA football and bball.  Cubs are the only MLB team I watch.  And every year in May I get into auto racing, since there's a whole month of festivities here in town leading up to the Indy 500.

    3. Greatest sports moment you've experienced? DH and I were in attendance at the 2007 AFC Championship game in Indy where the Colts FINALLY got over the hump and knocked off the Patriots (after coming back from a 19-pt halftime deficit).  It was the most amazing game ever!

  • 1. Favorite team(s)? Definitely the Huskers!  I also root for OU (it's a respect/rivalry thing), and have been known to cheer on Navy and LSU from time to time. :)  Sorry to my Gator gals! :)  And the Colts!  Love watching the Colts play with MrBout!

    3. Greatest sports moment you've experienced? When the Huskers beat the Gators for the 97 National Championship, the flea flicker catch at Mizzou, and Nebraska winning the Volleyball national championship in '06.  Oh yeah, and when Crouch won the Heisman. I'm such a homer, I know. :)

    4. Least favorite sport? Golf.  My dad is probably so ashamed of me. :)

    5. Any crazy sports-related stories? True story, I was AT the Mizzou game with Davison caught the ball off whats his nuts' foot, and I LEFT EARLY because we were losing.  God, I'm horrible.  We listened on the radio and were honking and freaking out on the interstate back to Omaha! :)  I also volunteer for Steve Warren's DREAM foundation, and he's SUCH an amazing man.  I'm so proud of all the ex-Huskers and all the work they do for our community.

    3.  The Ohio State vs. USC game earlier this season.  Even though OSU lost, I have never seen a stadium crowd so wired before.  It was awesome...until we lost.

    4.  Does Nascar count?

    5. Not that I can think of...wait, J just reminded me of one.  Being "that girl" (as in "that drunk girl") at Paul Brown Stadium in Cinci last September during the Bengals vs. Browns game.  Lets just say that even though the Bengals lost, I sang every Bon Jovi song on my husbands ipod to him on our way home...with a water bottle for a microphone :D

  • 1. Wisconsin Badgers

Used to be a Packers fan but I love Brett Favre (gasp, I know) and I live in MN so I am following the Vikings this year as well.

    2. Favorite sport to watch? ~professional football?

    5. Any crazy sports-related stories? See answer # 3  But the backstory is we planned the wedding around a hockey game.  It was taken at a Bridgeport Soundtigers (Islanders AHL Team) and Providence Bruins (Bruins AHL Team) game.  They only played once and we had to incorporate the game, so we planned an afterparty at the gamet.  Our wedding colors were even the team colors.  It was so much fun.

I'm sure a lot more people will be migrating over since we're now on the main list of boards.  Let's introduce ourselves.

    1. Favorite team(s)? Denver Broncos, Boston Red Sox and University of Texas (although I am from the same smallish town as Case Keenum- University of Houston and Taylor Potts of Texas Tech - and know their families, so we always cheer for them!)

    2. Favorite sport to watch? Football

    3. Greatest sports moment you've experienced? The past years Fiesta Bowl - UT vs. Ohio when UT won in the last few seconds

    4. Least favorite sport? ummm. Nascar? I guess.

    5. Any crazy sports-related stories?

From the Fiesta Bowl - we had AWESOME seats flew in a my Grandfather-IL tiny (12 seater) plane from Texas to AZ for the game. My grandfather in law (who paid for EVERYTHING for all 14 people in the family) got in some kind of "scuffle" at half time at the consession stands and was asked to leave or sit in these special seats on the other side of the stadium... the only catch to staying? we had to meet him at the two minute warning in the 4 quarter. At that exact time the Longhorns were running the two minute drill to win the game (but GIL paid for the whole thing so we couldn't leave him there). When the lady came to get us... we were like you have to be f*n kidding us. But they ended up letting us stay for the final moments so we could see them win. We would have been SO pissed had we missed it.

  • 1. Favorite team(s)? Mizzou Tigers, KC Chiefs, KC Royals...my dad has been a Rams fan forever (since the LA days) so I a bit of a Rams fan as well.

    2. Favorite sport to watch? College football, hands down.  I love this time of year.

    3. Greatest sports moment you've experienced? Oh gosh...not many.  I can't even think of one off the top of my head.  I was at the Mizzou Nebraska game for the "flea-kicker", but that certainly wasn't great for Mizzou.  :)

    4. Least favorite sport? I would have to say golf.

    5. Any crazy sports-related stories? Most recently...standing in pouring rain for hours at the Mizzou Nebraksa game last Thursday.  We all thought it was going to be 2-0 at half.  And then cotinuing to stand in the rain for the 2nd half and watch the huskers score 3 TDs in about 4 minutes.

  • I think my siggy pic speaks for itself Big Smile......

    1. Favorite team(s)? Wisconsin Badger Football, Green Bay Packers (NFL), Boston Celtics (NBA), and Minnesota Twins (MLB)

    2. Favorite sport to watch? Definitely the NFL!

    3. Greatest sports moment you've experienced? I was at the Vikings/Packer game 2 years ago when Brett Favre threw the record-breaking touchdown pass. I also got to see the Twins becoming the Central Division champs last Tuesday night... both were amazing moments for the metrodome!

    4. Least favorite sport? Hockey, Tennis, most NBA (I only like the Celtics because my BIL lived out there for a couple years and we went to a game and it was a really fun time..... I'm not really a fan of our Timberwolves, so the Celtics seemed like a good choice.)

    5. Any crazy sports-related stories? Nothing says crazy like a Wisconsin transplant living in the Twin Cities, trying to attend games of her home teams (Badgers vs. Gophers and Packers vs. Vikings). YIKES!

Gasp is right! Traitor! Smile  (J/K)
When I moved to MN 7 years ago, everyone said to me (and not kindly, I might add), "So, I suppose you're going to be a VIKQUEEEEEENS fan now?" Yeah, um, no. I married a Vikings fan, that's as close as I'll get to that team. I still have a thing for Favre, but I'll never cheer against my Pack Stick out tongue

  • 1. Favorite team(s): Florida Gators football (durr), and Davidson College basketball

    2. Favorite sport to watch: college football, hands down

    3. Greatest sports moment you've experienced: well, I have been lucky enough to be at the 1996, 2006 and 2008 football championships, and at the 2007 Final Four in Atlanta.  I also LOVED seeing my Davidson 'Cats make their run in the 2008 NCAA Tourney.  As for the greatest 'moment,' I'd have to say it was witnessing Jarvis Moss block the last-second South Carolina field goal in 2006, which led to a Gator victory.  Smile

    4. Least favorite sport: baseball

    5. Crazy sports-related story: well, I got married on the day of the Florida-Georgia game last year (Florida's biggest regular season game).  That's pretty crazy for me / my family.  Oh, and at the 2007 Final Four, my dad and brother almost got into a fight with some ornery / bitter Ohio State fans sitting behind us.  Klassy!

    5. Any crazy sports-related stories? Too many - we go on a lot of road trips to see the Rangers and Giants and have had some crazy times, LOL. I guess one I could share is that our wedding cake looked like the Stanley Cup.
