Let's just fall apart. . .
DH seems to think they are doing it "on purpose", so they can take it back to NY to win the championship. IDK if I agree with that exactly, but they might as well just lay down and die tonight. . .

Re: Let's just fall apart. . .
I was waiting for a Yankees fan to say that. I think this is going to a game 7.
He isn't a Yankee fan. He likes the Braves actually. I don't think it is true. I think they are just sucking tonight, lol.

I was waiting for that too! Excuses, excuses. Like any team would give up a win just to do it 100 miles up the road at home... Typical Yankees' fan mentality

Well, like I just said. He isn't a fan. I am. I don't think it is the case. Geesh people.

Sorry! I really was just waiting for someone to say it, and you were first.

It's all friendly banter. This is nothing compared to the jerks on FB with all their crazy status updates like they are the new Yankees GM.
This is true. I haven't checked my FB tonight. I am sure it is crazy on there.

I missed the beginning of the game. I had to run to the ILs and they were watching Heroes.
I got my hopes up there for a second. . . I still have faith, but its looking like we are going back to NY.

It was absolutely friendly banter - all in good fun!!! All DH's cousins are Yankees' fans and I'm having so much fun with them right now!!!

Wait, hasn't your bullpen hit A-Rod three times in two games? The pitch that hit Victorino was not intentional, it was just inside. He wouldn't have been hit had he not been squaring up to bunt. Name calling is not necessary or warranted.
I don't think it was intentional. Those throws at ARod were, but they certainly weren't with intent to injure. Unless a bruise on the ass counts as an injury.
I really can't get past no name calling. This is the sports board for christ's sake.
My point was more that said pitch does not warrant the d-bag label, not that it can't be used at all.
Do the elbow tats warrant the d-bag label? Because I think they do.
sometimes i wish tom hanks could reprise his role from a league of their own tell let the nest know that:
NAME CALLING IS PART OF BASEBALL.
and really though he would have been hit maybe not on his hand but on his arm had he not been bunting.
I disagree. They were pitching A-Rod inside because that's where he's weak. When you're working with a player who is as dangerous at the plate, you have to do everything you can to keep him from making a mark. You certainly do not beam a batter intentionally 3 times in the WS, let alone doing it in the first inning.
Agreed. If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.
Um, don't you remember Phillies fans throwing batteries at JD Drew when he was on the Cardinals in the late 90's?
i have only witnessed it once live and in person at yankee stadium hence why i said it.
Yeah, but so do shag carpets growing on the chin
I have only ever seen this at a Cleveland Browns game.
Oh, once live. Sorry I missed that.
I think all teams have some dbag fans. I'm loud and I'll yell and heckle, but I would never throw anything on the field or do something that would deliberately disrespect the Phillies or the city for that matter. It sucks because I don't want to be lumped in the the category with the azzholes who act like that. I get seriously tired of being called the city with the worst fans - you know, by everyone who DOESN'T live here, because we obviously think we're awesome
.
This. Also, in order for a national league pitcher to intentionally hit a batter he has to be plain stupid. The pitchers do come up to the plate and who do you think will be the one to receive the retaliation hit?
Oh, woe is the put upon New York fan. Please rely my apologies to the asshat Rangers fan who once poured a beer on me.
I get there is a strong contingent that enjoys their Nest over easy with a side of rainbow and unicorns, but this is the sports board.
