Holding a grudge long term?
Re: Holding a grudge long term?
Me too.
I also can not cheer for the Red Sox any more. I loved them since the late 90's and early 2000's was soooo excited about the 2004 World Series. Then they traded all their key players away and it's just not the same team anymore. With all the trades I find it hard to pick one team to follow, since I like different players on all teams. This is what happens from growing up in a non-professional sports city.
I've been a big Eagles fan but I just can't stomach Vick. Until he is gone I won't support my team (although I did hang my McNabb ornament on the Christmas tree, it just isn't Christmas without it)
I also have problems with P. Manning. He F'ed my fantasy team a few years ago and started to rumble once I finally managed to trade him off for someone else. That jerk
I don't think any player, especially a Green Bay player given Packer fanaticism, should ever tell fans to "get on board." Prove yourself to the fans. Then people can decide to get on board or not.
I've never been a football fan, and this move just solidified my hatred for the Eagles.
