Oh did i forget to mention that he was pulling out during buttsex? IF we do have vaginal sex we use condoms everytime!!! I didnt know if i could get prego during the buttsex!!!

Typical use is about 50% effective. Perfect use is nearly 70%. Perfect use means he never accidentally ejaculates inside of you, even a drop. It may also mean he doesn't precum, but that is pretty hard to tell while you're actually having sex.

Clearly you don't need BC.  No pregnancies in 11years would indicate to me a reproductive issue. But what do I know?

I can't use hormonal bcp--it makes me hormones EXTREMELY out of whack...so we've actually used "pulling out" as our bc method since our son was born (he was the conceived while using birth control, btw). so far, it's worked for us.I'd prefer to use some kind of bc, but hubby doesn't like condoms, and like some others have said--if I got pregnant, it wouldn't be the end of the world for us--we plan to have at least one more in the next year or so. I definitely wouldn't recommend it to someone who never ever wanted children, of course.

This post might be dead already...but my husband and I have been successfully using the pull out method for about 4 years. I didn't like hormonal birth control, and I am allergic to every condom and spermicide on the earth. So he pulls out.  I believe that his control is what makes it work. He has to be the one to manage when he is about to orgasm in order to pull out in time. I'm not saying it works for everyone, but it works for us.

I read an article not too long ago, not sure where though, that stated that the pull out method, used perfectly every time was actually just as reliable as more convential birth control methods.

 However, I consider the pull out method as the method for people who don't care whether they do, or do not get pregnant!

DH and I have used FAM for four years with no pg.  He does not ejaculate during sex easily so I almost always follow intercourse with oral sex for him.  obviously this would cut our chances of getting pg.

Use an actual method, I really like FAM, but if you don't want to get pg then take an active role.

I asked my gyno and she said it is 70% effective.  Since we've been married (10-03-09) we have been using the pull out method, i've not gotten pregnant.  You could use it along with spermicide inserts ( you get them at any drug store)  and that will be more effective.  Just make sure he is very in control of  knowing when to pull out.  My DH had never had sex without a condom and would *** so fast when we stopped using them, now he is better at it, but he doesn't like the fact that he can't finish inside me.  I've noticed though that orgasms seem hard to accomplish when we use condoms now.

some might not believe me but me and my hubby use the pull out method for the first 3 years of our relationship because the bc i was on was not agreeing with me not that i been on mirena we have no use for it so i guess it depends on it the person is responsible enough i am not advising others to use this but it did work for me and hubby. btw i didnt get pregnant it just depends on the person.
