Are you anti-artficial sweetener?
Re: Are you anti-artficial sweetener?
YES!!!! our family doctor says that diet soda should have a warning label like cigarettes. That scared me enough to never drink anything with artifical sweetners ever again.
I only use a small amount of real sugar and if I want a soda, I have a regular soda.
Actually, diet soda made with aspartame does have a warning label, but only for a concern that has been substantiated by evidence (that some people can't process one of the components of aspartame).
From what I'm seeing, it looks like stevia sold separately as a sweetener is regulated as a dietary supplement but stevia added to food is regulated as a food additive (but GRAS).
