Re: *jware1985*

  • Oh, that is awesome, we have lots of April birthdays in our family. :) we will def have to celebrate, i am so excited.  Yea 32+ hr in car does not sounds like fun :( but it might be exciting if you stop and sight see some, but then at the same time that might make the trip seem longer huh... The wedding plans are coming along, I have all but the florist reserved so thats good, and When i went to the Arizona Bridal Fair I enetered to win a wedding planner and i actually won! Can you beleive that! so she will be there to handle all my craziness on the day of and all.  But our colors are Pink, like a magenta pink or in the world of davids bridal... watermelon :) and like a sage/celery green and chocloate brown.  Umm our ceremony venue seats about 80 people, so it is I guess you can say on the smaller side.  I am getting so excited that i can't believe that it is 8 months from tomorrow! Holy Moly, i can't wait to be CJ's wife.  I am sure you felt the same way about your hubby :) so exciting, I think I am just as anxious for you to be out here as you are to get out here :)
    Photobucket
  • Yes, we def. will.  I'm hoping we can stop & sight-see some, but I also don't wanna make a 32hr drive a 40 or something crazy like that!  I just hope we have enough time to drive out & get a lil settled before I start a new job in a brand new place.  Kinda scary, yet exciting!

That's awesome about the bridal fair prize.  How lucky!  I only won a basket full of stuff valued at $100.  Now I feel ripped, haha.  I love your color choices.  Sounds like it'll come together very nicely.  Plus, it'll help that you have someone there to take care of things for you.  I hope she turns out to be a great one.  We ended up hiring DOC's & they turned out to be absolutely awful, didn't do anything really, then never showed up til after the rehearsal & everything was done on Fri.  And after the nerve of that, they walked out & said they wouldn't be coming on Sat. either; and they didn't.  It actually turned out to be a good thing, but I was furious at the time.  80's a pretty good #.  Our venue only held about 90 comfortably & I think we had just about that #.  It was nice...not too big, not too small.  Neither Mark or I are big fans of being the center of attention, so it worked well for us.  I'm excited for you too!  It's such an amazing feeling & day.  Def. treasure it & get a good photog.  I love our wedding pics, but that's one thing I wish we would've spent more money on.

    image
  • Yea, we drove to my hometown, Gilroy CA last year so i could show CJ where i grew up, that was about 10 1/2  hr drive and i was so ready to be out of the car.  I am sure you will have enough time to settle a litle bit :) you could probably work someting out with your new employer.  That is crazy about your DOC's! i would have been mad about that too, did you stll have to pay them?  Yea we just want people that mean something special to us... but know that we have been making some new friends i might want some of the thee to be a part of our new start into marriage you know what i mean?  I am so excited about our photog, she takes beautiful pictures, she is reasonably priced too!  I was so suprised to win anything, i never win...lol i had my co-worker read the email with me three times before i believed it.
    Photobucket
  • Yeah, that's what I'm hoping.  I'd really like to be able to have at least 3 or 4 days to get settled.  Unfort. we had to pay them (per the contract) like 2 wks before the wedding, so they had the money & later refused to pay us back.  I was so mad & I let them know about it, along w/lots of other people on here & elsewhere.  Guess they don't care that word of mouth really goes a long way sometimes.  I hope yours is wonderful!  That's what was the hard part about us having a smaller wedding as well.  There were people we would have liked to have there, but couldn't because of the size.  But we absolutely fell in love w/the building & I wouldn't have changed that part.  That's great that you were able to find a good & reasonable photog.  That's hard sometimes.  We actually found a guy who does it on the side & was very reasonable.  Well maybe you saw some of our pics in my bio, but I was overall pleased w/them, but like I said, just wish we would've had a lil more creativity w/the shots from a photog who does it all the time.  I'm gonna be looking forward to hearing more about ur wedding stuff & seeing pics.  If you need any help w/anything, let me know.  I love doing that kind of stuff.
    image
  • OH no! that is a buster, i am sorry to hear they did that to you :( if i were there i would have had your back...lol I took a class at work once about customer impact and for every unhappy customer they tell on average 10-12 friends! And i seriously doubt you are the only one they did that too.  I know i actually deleted a couple people from the guest list mostly because they made some coments about my fiance i didn't really like... one said "if he were single and I were 20 years younger!"  lol how says that anyways... so she was removed! That is what i hear photogs are the most important thing since at the end of the day that is all you really have left... you know other then everlasting L-O-V-E!!!! lol   Oh thanks, you are so super sweet i can't wait to meet you and your DH when the pffical move comes :) for sure as thngs start coming together i will for sure post pics! I am dress shopping in April but i already have a list of like 6 resses i really like.  is it true when you put on the dress you get that you know it is the one... i guess it makes sense because i knew CJ was the one right away... I thought to myself "I got e a winner!" lol corney in know but i did seriously think that to myself!

Anywho, is it starting to warm up at all for you over there? I am sure that is probably a silly question :)

    Photobucket
  • Yeah, I was very mad!  But I had some great friends who jumped right in & helped to make everything go just perfectly.  Thanks, I'd believe that.  And I'm sure you're right...I highly doubt we're the only ones they screwed over.  But I also hope I turned enough people away from them & spared someone else of getting the same thing done to them.  They were just awful!

I don't blame you for taking that person off the list.  Maybe she was just joking, but it's rude & you can never fully trust people sometimes.  Def. photogs are most important.  As long as CJ, the officiant & the photog are there, who cares about everyone else, haha.  JK.  I can't wait to see some pics.  Dress shopping will be fun, I'm sure.  And yes, it's true that when you have it on, you just know.  Once you find one though, don't keep looking!!  You'll just drive yourself crazy.  I actually only first tried on 2 dresses...one I kinda liked in the catalog & the one I had my eye on in the catalogs & stuff for a while.  I ended up getting the one I thought I really liked before ever seeing it in person.

Starting to warm up?!?  Are you crazy?!?!  LOL.  Umm, it's been a tad bit warmer during the day (like 45 degrees, if we're lucky), but it's very cold in the evening/night.  And we're supposed to be getting a "blizzard" now into the weekend.  I don't know that we're going to get it though, cuz we only got about 1 1/2" of snow today & they were calling for up to 15".  I guess we'll find out.  I'm so jealous of your warm weather down there now.  I check it every day & get depressed, haha.

    image
  • LOL, i figured it would be a silly question.  If it helps any it has been cooler here...I hope you dind;t get buried in the snow, sorry i totally spaced yesterday and sins't think this would have been osed ot page 2 so quickly.  I am soexcited for dress shopping.  Cj's only request that it be white and not ivory :) so i will give hi at least that. lol yea, that lady i was talking about is just weired in general so I am better off with finding true friends and not just people who expect to get something out of it, like discounts because CJ does air conditoning.  anywho  I am so glad it is friday, work was super crazy this week.  I work for Wells Fargo and we juts put in a new system so wachovia bankers can submit applications and our volume has doubled! but that is a good thing because it was super slow for a really long time.

any big plans fore the weekend for you two newlyweds? :)

    Photobucket
  • Hahaha, yeah but your low temps are about what our high temps are at times here.  Lately it's been in the 20's-30's for highs in the day.  No, we didn't get buried in the snow luckily.  It snowed here most of this week, but it didn't amount to anything.  :)

I don't blame ya.  Have fun w/it.  I don't think that's an unreasonable request, haha.  I didn't even really think about an ivory one.  I think the white are much prettier (for the most part).  Send me the links or sites to the dresses your checking out.  I'd love to see them.  ;)  If you want to, that is.

Sorry to hear work was super busy & crazy this past week.  Hopefully this coming week won't be so bad.  This week was fairly slow for me.  I got on dayshift this week, but it was slow.  I work in a Joint Replacement Center (it's in the hosp.), where people get knee, hip & shoulder replacements done.  So some weeks we have a lot of people & other weeks, we don't have so many.  And I also work on the surgical unit of the hospital, which is usually pretty busy.  That's great that work has picked up though for you!  I really hope the rest of the economy picks up soon...esp. for the construction business.

We didn't/don't have any real big plans for this weekend.  Last night we went to dinner, then Mark had to go 2 1/2hrs down to his parents to get some stuff done, I just hung out.  Then today I had my BF's bridal shower, that I'm the matron-of-honor in.  That took all day!  Then I picked up the girl scout cookies we ordered & went to dinner w/my parents.  Mark was still at his parents & actually just got home here a few minutes ago.  So tonight is blown.  Sundays are always kind of a lazy/catch-up kind of day.  We usually do the cleaning up & grocery shopping.  Real exciting lives we lead here, huh?  Lol.  What were you & CJ up to?

    image
  • That is awesome the you are on day shift, I am not sure our volume will die down any time soon.  I work for Wells FArgo and with the Wachovia merger we out in place a temporary system fo wachovia bankers can submit applications until they are fully converted, so since they havn't been able to really do anything they have an over load of applicants we think :)  But that is good because it keeps us busy and it seems this we jut flew by so fast and hopefully this next one will go just as fast.

All the dresses I like right now are at David's Bridal and the style numbers are

    CT291
    V9665
    V9539
V9458 ** top voted pick by many lol **
    V9202
     V8820

Mostly the top three have been voted by tohers as not avs but i think i am still going to try them on just to make sure you know. but the 4th one down is my current fav and the fav of my mom and my sister. lol

That is crazy about your weather, i don't think i could handle it being that cold.  I a a kind of middle of the road kind of person I like to be comfortable.  When it is in the 70's here i am in heaven lol once it starts getting into the high 90's - 100's i am like find me a pool and a cold beverage lol.  Soon eneough you and Mark will be out here my friend and i can't wait to meet you in person. i was glad to see you joined the meetup group.

CJ and i kind of just hung out today, we had to run a few errand in the morning and then we went to see my parents, they live about 5-10 minute away from us but it seems to be so hard sometimes to make it over there sometimes... lol i ahd to drop of my dad's girl scout cookies i bought for him.  He has been asking for them for over a week and i just didn't have time.  Sunday's are usually our laundry/cleaning and grocery shoopping day as well.  and if I am lucky o sometimes get a nap to build up the energy the week requires :)

    Photobucket
  • Yes, I love it.  Dayshift is so much nicer!  I was doing mainly nights & I hated it.  Well that's good if it doesn't slow down, but hope you don't get too stressed over it.  I love to be real busy, but not when it's a real stressful busy.

I LOVE the 3rd one!!  Very, very pretty!  Prob. cuz it kinda reminds me of my dress, haha.  The top anyway, is similar to mine.  Mine was David's Bridal #V9364  And my 2nd choice would be the 4th one that's your current fav.  Both are very pretty & would be flattering.  Can't wait to see which one you choose.

Yeah, the weather really stinks here!  I hate it.  I'd love to live somewhere that it's in the 70's-80's year round.  That's not too much to ask for, is it?  lol.  I really hope we don't mind the summer heat so much.  I know it'll take a while to get used to.  Since it's so dry out there though, your temps don't feel as hot as ours here.  When we were out in Nov, it was in the high 80's & it felt prob. like our 75 cuz of the humidity that we have here.

Sounds like you guys have the Sundays we have.  Just a real lazy, catching up type of day.  But we need those.  Hope you get a nap in for your busy week ahead.

    image
  • OMG I love your dress, my sisters was kind of similar i think to that :)  Thank you, i am pretty excited about trying on the dress, my mom told me that she just loves the last one since it has the pink detail.

I love it when it is in the 70's - 80's out here, i grew up in Northern California and the weather there was pretty different then here so i totally know what you mean about the difference in humidity.  That was one thing that took me awhile to adjust to but i am pretty aclamated here since whn it is in the high 60's low 70's i am running inside putting on my sweats crying about how cold it is... lol

I seriously think Sunday's are my favorite day just because i feel like i get so much more accompished in a more relaxing kind of way. if that even makes sense lol no np for me yesterday we ended up going over to my moms for dinner which was nice bacuse at the end of this month they are going on a crusie so I got to get all caught up on their plans :)

Hope you had a great Monday!

    Photobucket
  • Aww thanks!  I loved it too...not too fancy, yet not too dull.  I think that last one was one I had lined up to try on at David's, but then I never got to it.  I liked it cuz of the pink detail as well.

That's funny that you're running for sweats when it's in the high 60's/low 70's.  I can't wait til we get to that.  And then of course, higher than that too.  :)  I'm so excited for this summer.

That is nice that you got to spend time w/them.  Where are they going on their cruise??  We had a lazy Sunday as well.  We did the typical Wal-Mart run & the grocery store.  Then cleaned up a lil & lounged.  Yesterday I worked 11a-7p, then got caught up watching that darn Bachelor.  And I was so upset.  He's such an idiot.  I liked him when he first started the show, but then he just went downhill.  Is your week any better yet?

    image
  • They are going to the Eastern Caribbean.  My mom won a 7 day cruise anywhere she wanted through Harrah's in LAs Vegas and so she figured why not, they just had to pay their air fare and a hotel since they are going 2 day earlier.  CJ and I will be watching the doggy, daphanie.  She is technically mine but she lives with my parents because they refuse to give her up. lol but then when she does something wrong she is "my" dog .

I didn't watch the Bachelor this season but from what I hear, he made the wrong choice.  We are still crazy busy, so that is good and this is my early week so instead of getting off at 4 i get off at 3:45... lol but today i got off at 3:30 so when i got home i made zucchini bread.  I will be posting the recipe on my blog later :) how about you?  is your week turning into an esay or crazy busy kind of week :)  I know that summer will really be here before we know it.  Spring Training for baseball is starting this week so even more snow birds, people from cooler/snowy states come here for the warmth :) but that means once Spring Traning is over they will all be too hot to stay :) then the traffic gets lighter... totally awesome. Do you and Mark like a lot of sports?

    Photobucket
  • That sounds like it'll be a nice trip for them.  Especially if they've never been there.  I def. don't blame them...I'd take the trip too, for that amount.  And at least you'll get to spend more time w/your doggy.  :)  What kind is she?

Def. made the wrong choice, but whatever, it's their life.  Well any time you get to leave a little early, is nice, I think.  Usually I end up getting out late cuz w/nursing, you can't just leave when stuff isn't finished, but it's so nice when I actually get to leave on time or a lil early.  This week is pretty steady busy.  I'm actually at work now.  They asked me to come in early at 3am-3pm.  It sucked going to bed & getting up that early, but I usually jump at the overtime, cuz they like never let us get any.

Zucchini bread sounds yummy!  I love that.  I just made banana bread last week & that was really good too.  I saw you started a blog.  Kudos to you!  I wish I could think of enough interesting things & have the time to do it every day.  Maybe once we get a house & stuff, I will.  Yours looks good so far though.  I'll have to check out the recipe.  Neither of us is really into sports at all.  I really don't like watching it on tv, but don't mind going to see an event.  I've heard that a lot of the training centers are out there.  That's interesting since it is so hot there.  Do you ever see anyone cool?  What sports are you guys into?

    image
  • Happy Wed! Smile The dog is a jack russell, very hyper and so lovable at the same time :) i will have to post a pic of her, there actually ight be some of her on my facebook page.  She will be 9 or I guess 81 in dog years this year.  I am so sad because i don't want her to get older. lol it is wierd i know but I am just so attached since she was solely my dog for so long.

Yes getting up and being at work by 3am totally does stink, but if it is over tie that is pretty cool, When i was still living in California i was working as a baker in the bakery of the grocery store and i had to be there at 4am everyday, lol with no overtime to make it better, but i kind of liked it because i would get off at 1 got home and take a nap then go to Monterey Bay for their weekly farmers market and then to the aquarium, this usually happened on thursday but the rest of the week i could still do whatever as long as i was in bed by 7 or 8 at the latest.  My work is offering OT right now to so i take them up in it whe i can because it has been years since they offered OT.

Thanks, and you know what i thought the same thing before i started my blog, i didn't think i had anything to say that would be interesting to anyone.  But it has been pretty easy so far.  I posted the recipe for the Zucchini Bread on there so you should check it out, lol you know if you want to.  But tomorrow is Thursday so this week is almost over, i was looking at my yard and it needs some serious TLC so hopefully CJ and I can get out there this weekend and get some of that done.

We aren't that much into sports either but occasionally we will see a spring traning game since we live just up the road a little ways from Surprise Stadium.  I think this weekend it is the Royals vs Giants.  Umm we usually take lawn seat but my parents have met some of the players before when that sat in the bleachers.  And CJ is a Cardinal fan but we don't usually watch it on TV.

    Photobucket
  • Aww, jack russells are so cute.  I've heard that they're very hyper though.  I just saw her on facebook.  She looks so innocent, haha.  She looks pretty big.  I'm not a big animal person, but I wanna get a dog once we get a house.  I want to get a mini chihuahua or a mini jack russell, but Mark doesn't wanna get a jack cuz of the hyperactivity.  We'll see about that once we start looking, haha.  I understand what ya mean.  In doggy years she's pretty darn old.  Hopefully she'll live for a while yet.

Ugh!  Don't think I could do the whole getting up at 2 or 3 in the morning all the time, like you did.  These past 2 days getting up at 1:45 were rough & enough for me...I'm pooped!  lol  And it's just too weird to be in bed by 7pm.  That's nice you're able to get some overtime now too.  I hope this continues for a lil while & we can keep getting overtime, but I kinda doubt it will.  It's especially nice now since Mark's not working & also cuz we're saving for the big move & hopefully a house shortly after!

Your muffins looked yummy...I'll have to try that sometime.  I've made the bread before, but never thought of making it into muffins.  Stick out tongue  I can't believe it's Thurs. evening already.  This week has flown by!!  Now I have off tom. & work Sat.  I hope the time continues to go pretty quickly here the next few months.  I think we're finally coming through the slump of crappy winter here, so that helps.  How is CJ's new job going??  Does he like it?  Hopefully you guys can get out & fix up your yard this weekend.  Must be nice...all the yards around here are half snow covered, half mud filled.  yuck!

    image
  • Oh my goodness, i am so sorry it has taken me so long to reply.  Yea, Daphanie is pretty hyper.  When we first got her and got her spade they told us she would calm down some... that never happened and then they said that when she turned 7 she would calm down some... and that never happened. lol it is barely now that she has somewhat mellowed out.  She still has her crazy moments but for the most part she is calmer.  CJ didn't want to bring her permanetly to our house, he wants a more chill kind of dog and not so much the hyper variety Smile But i know deep down inside he loves her.

Yea it was a little rough when the alarm when off but i did it and then when i moved out here i was so used to that that even when i wasn't working for the first 3 months getting up at 4:30 was like sleeping in.  BUt since my parents weren't.  I can imagine that with Mark's line of work that the winter would totally stink out there not being able to work.  But hopefully out here that won't be as much of a prob;em you know with the weather being so nice and all.

Og, those muffins are so yummy i had one for breakfast this morning and it was awesome! loli know this last week went by so crazy fast but that is good.  as long as the weekend doesn't go by to fast.  I hope you had a great day off on friday.  He likes his new job, thank you fo asking.  He got his work van on friday and went on a couple calls by himself which he was pretty excited about.  I hope we can work on the yeard too but is is suppose to rain again tomorrow. so hopefully we can get out there before that starts :)  Hope you had a great day at work today.

    Photobucket
  • That's ok, it's been a busy week.  At least on this end, it has.  I'm sure you've been too.  Well hopefully she'll calm down a lil more & CJ will let you bring her home.  Maybe she'll melt his heart when your parents are away.  That's what kinda makes me nervous w/the chihuahuas.  I don't want a really hyper dog that gets into everything.   They're so darn cute though!

It def. is rough to get up in the middle of the night to start your work day.  I think it's easier staying up all night & just doing night shift.  I sure hope Mark can find some work out there.  It seemed like there was building going on when we were out in Nov., but I also imagine that there are a lot of guys out of work out there too.  If he can't get into the carpenter's union for work, hopefully he can find something else until he can.

Well did you get to work on the yard at all?  I saw that there's a 100% chance of rain out there today.  It's actually nice here today.  It's like 56*, which feels really warm compared to what we're used to.  Glad to hear CJ likes the job & already got a van.  That's great news.  I did have a nice day off Fri, thanks.  We got some cleaning done around the apt, then went to dinner & shopping.  Work went well yesterday & wasn't stressful, so that's always nice.  Now today, we slept in a lil, just had lunch & are gonna get ready to go outside for a bit & run a few errands.

    image
  • I will have to keep my eyes peels in the paper, also you might want to have him check out craigslist.  That is where Cj found his job :) lol. i doubt Cj will ever agree to bring daphanie home which is ok, i think my parents are pretty attached to her too.  So it will all work out in the end, he really wants a puggle and i wnat something more in the medium size range like a houd dog or juts a beagle :)

So, no yard work for us this weekend i was so bummed out we had a birthday party on Saturday and then it rained all day sunday! with crazy wind and thunder and lightning so maybe next weekend. lol fingers corssed for no more rain :)

That is awesome that it was in the high 50 for you.  dinner and shopping are aways a balst :) i saw a TJ maxx off of the 10 in goodyear and i want to go check it out becaus ei love Tj maxx i used to go there all the time in Cali but the one that was by my apartment i didn't really like because they never really had anything that knocked my socks off :)  There i nothing better then sleeping in on a sunday!  I woke up this morning when the alarm went off and was like NOOO!!! i just wnat another ay off :) lol but then i heard the coffee pott brewing and i thought oooo, ok i can get up for some coffee :)

Hope you have a great monday! have you started to look at apartments out here yet? Also, if you are thinking of working for Banner my mom said to start looking nowish because it can take awhile, but she does like clearical stuff so RN's are probably different :) have you thought about which hospitals you were thinking of working at... i can scope it out for you if you like to see what they have going on :)

    Photobucket
  • Oh good idea...I always forget about Craig's list.  Thanks.  Well hopefully you guys can decide on a puppy to bring home then.  Mark would rather have the more medium sized dog too, but I want the smaller, if any.

That's so weird that you guys are getting this crazy weather now!  Yuck on all the rain!  I hope you can get what you want done this coming weekend then.  It's actually been really nice & pretty comfortable here temp. wise.  I've actually been able to go for walks/jogs comfortably.  I love it & can't wait to get out about every day.  Plus, this warmer weather means that we're getting just that much sooner to our big move!!  I have started looking at apts. a lil bit, just to get an idea.  But I want to get a job first before we make a decision on an apt.  I'm open to driving about a 1/2hr to work, but I don't wanna go much farther than that.  I've been keeping my eye on some houses though.  I just wish we could go out now & go to a realtor & say, "please show us these like 10 houses" & get one that we love.  Ahh, wishful dreaming!  I was thinking I'd prob. start applying for jobs in April, but I guess I should keep a closer eye on things until then.  That'd be great if you could let me know if you hear of anything or see any openings out there.  I'm pretty open to trying anywhere.  I haven't really heard that any of the hospitals are really bad.  dmw531 highly recommended Mayo, but when I looked, they didn't really have much open.

I felt today, how you felt yesterday, when the alarm went off.  I didn't get much sleep last night, so it really sucked when the alarm went off this morning.  Especially when the supervisor called at 5:30 & asked if I wanted the day off.  I don't like taking off & I don't have much vacation time left, so I went in, but it def. would've been a nice day to take off.  It was sunny & above 60.  :)

    image
  • I will keep an eye out on the job front for you both... Mark mgith want to do soe research on carpentry.  i htink i remember seeing a carpenters union and traning facility on McDowell but i am not exactly sure on the cross road.  I know i love the cooler weather when it hits but at the same time it can get a bit chilly. lol i think it is pretty funny that at 59 degreess you are going out side for a walk/jog and i am trying to stay inside where it is warm.. so funny.

That is pretty cool that you ended up getting the day off but that sucks if you are running low on the PTO front.  I am saving mine well at least 8 days of it for October :) my tie for the wedding just got approved so i was pretty excited about that and i got christmas eve off again so that is awesome.  It will be Christmas with my family this year so i a pretty pumped up about that :)  We hosted it for CJ's mom's side this last year. a total of 12 people.. the original head count was suppose to be 17 and i made everything but the ham, his grandparents like to do the hame but i did the Turkey and all the sides, snacks and desert :) it turned out awesome and i was most def the hostest with the mostest! lol

It is hard with the hospitals sometimes, are you looking for like a doctors office type of RN position or like surgry and or nicu? oh and days or nights preferably? i saw a few postings for Banner, but they were mostly in Glendale or Sun City.

  • Thanks, I appreciate it.  I told Mark he needs to call the union there to see if/what's going on, but he doesn't wanna call until it's closer to the time.  I'll keep on him about that.  For me, I'm looking for a hospital position & I have experience w/med-surg, neuro, ortho, post-surgical, vascular, telemetry & geriatrics.  Def. want a days position, though I know that's hard to find sometimes.  Location isn't a big deal...I just don't wanna be real far out from Phoenix downtown or a nice downtown area.

That is kinda crazy, how diff. temps feel so diff. to people in some areas.  Its not still raining, is it?  Is the sunshine back now?  It's just feeling so warm here now, cuz just over a wk ago, it was in the 20's & 30's.  Today was 66 & gorgeous!  Mark & I went for a long walk downtown in the shops & went for dinner.  It was very nice.  I love being married!

Yeah, it's def. nice to get an unexpected day off work sometimes, but I wish I had some more PTO.  I've only been at this hospital for over a year, so I used most all of my PTO for the wedding & honeymoon, then for our trip to AZ in Nov.  It was all worth it though!  Sounds like your Christmas was very nice this past yr.  That'd be so nice to be able to have everyone at your place & cook it all.  Guess we won't have that once we move to AZ.  I really like to entertain & do that kind of stuff too.  Any plans for the weekend??  Working on the yard?  We're supposed to be getting rain this weekend like you guys had last weekend.  :(  And of course, I'm off all weekend.

  • So are you guys wanting to live downtown once you are out here?  If you guys get loanely during the holidays and aren't able to be wth family, our door is always open :) No it isn't raning any more an di hope more doesn't come in this weekend! it was still a bit cool today but the sun was out so that was nice :) My sister, and niece, Nichole & Kaycee are their names are coming over on Saturday.  My brother in law Adrian's brother is coming into town today and staying for the weekend and on Staurday there is this huge train expo thing in Tucson and my sister want the boys to have their tie together since it is not that often his brother comes out.  So we are having a sister/niece day.  And Sunday i want to get and work in the yard  all these weeds are killing me! lol it seems every time it rains 100 more weeds pop up. lol the yard is being taken over by them and  want to trim up some of the bushes too.

That is a total buster that it is suppose to rain this weekend and your off! hopefully it is just a false weather report and you will have sunshine... i will keep my fingers crossed for you :) my dad is a realtor so if or when you are ready to look at houses i can give you his information  I am sure he would be more then happy to help you out :) i am so glad to hear you and Mark had a great day out and about today. that is awesome! I cant wait to be married but the time i have with CJ now is just as special :) We are both getting used to our new routine and how it is with his new job :)

lol but i am having trouble getting out of bed in the morning when he is already left for work. i just wnat to stay in bed all day until he comes home to cuddle but alas i must get up and go to work :) do you have to work tomorrow?

  • Umm, no, not necessarily downtown, but I'd like to be w/in 45mins. at least.  Thanks for the open door invite.  We may just have to take you up on that some time.  :)  Oh good, hopefully the rain does stay away for you this weekend.  Sounds like you have a busy one planned.  Sister & niece time sounds fun.  I'm kinda glad that's one thing we don't have to worry about just yet...taking care of a yard...but I'm sure it's diff. & kinda fun when it's your own place.

I  know, I'm really hoping the weather reports are wrong.  It'd at least be nice if we got one sunny day.  I swear I have seasonal affective disorder.  I get kinda depressed in the winter, but in much better spirits when the sun's shining.  That's awesome that your Dad's a realtor.  I've already had a few contact me cuz of me requesting a relocation guide, but I haven't talked to anyone yet since we're obv. not ready for that point.  I'll def. keep him in mind & let ya know.  It was very nice today.  Married life is great, but so is engaged.  It's just a lil diff. once you're married.  I'm sure it's taking a lil while to get used to the new routine.  Glad he's liking it though & it's working out for him.  I know what you mean about wanting to stay in bed.  I want to stay in bed every morning too (w/him), & not leave for work.  That stinks.  I pick on him about when he's gonna get a job, so I can stay home for a while, ahah.  Yes, I work tom. 7am-3pm yet, but then off until Mon. at 11pm.  Next week is gonna be a tough one!  I have to go to nightshift, & we're supposed to have a slow week.  I'm really dreading it.

  • It looks like it is going to be a rain free weekend! I am so excited! Oh yea for sure, i know how hard it is to be away from family, in California it was nice to have friends and their familes to welcomed me and my sister in when we couldn't fly to my parents house for the holiday's.  I can only imagine what that kind of weather could do to a person. I don't do weel being stuck inside all day i couldn't imagine being stuck inside for months on end because of the snow! lol

Wouldn't that be awesome to be able to stay home and not have to work for a bit :)  i might go stir crazy and then go broke doing a ton of crafts to fill my time :)  Night shift will not be fun i don't think.  I get so super tired at like 9 sometimes 10 so i don't know if i could stay up all night and be productive!

I hope you have a great few days off and fingers are crossed for at least one sunny day! soon enough you will have a ton of them!

  • Hope you're having fun w/the girls & it's rain-free!  We've got it all here.  What an ugly weekend...so we slept in, then went shopping today, haha.  The weather here is def. depressing, for the most part.  Well that was nice you had friends that you could go to for the holidays.  That's prob. gonna be one of the hardest parts about being in AZ.  Especially w/my career field, we won't be able to fly home even like every Christmas & stuff.  I'll have to work some of them.  We'll prob. have to end up celebrating Christmas early or late when we can get in.  Plus, it'll prob. be cheaper to fly then.

Well since Mark got called back to work for a lil now, I guess I can't pick on him too much about me staying home like him.  It would be nice for a few weeks.  I'd be like you though, I'd go stir-crazy & broke too.  I sometimes go stir-crazy just when I have like 3-4 days off in a row.  It'd def. to be nice to catch up on my books & scrapping though.

Thanks, maybe we'll get a lil sunshine tom.  I can only hope, right?!?  Mark & I were just talking today about when we get to come visit here again hopefully in May.  I wanna come check things out again more once I get a position...go see the hospital, find an apt., & hopefully meet up w/u & possibly some of the other ladies.  I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
