What's all the hype on this MP place?? Is it just a really nice gated community?

That is the funny thing, it's not even gated lol! You would think it would be though for all the love of it.

The houses in MP are more original then other places. Like in our development, we have like 4 different "Style" houses but they are all the same colors or whatever. It's very cookie cutter. MP isn't like that as much. Yes, they have a lot of the same houses, but the colors are way different. The houses don't look all the same. I think it is very original in there. It's nice to look at.

It is so clean and well taken care of in there too! But with $200 in HOA fees it doesnt surprise me (but again.. that isnt even high considering what is included).

At my current house, he HOA is like 73$ a month. THat includes umm maintenance of the parks and public ways. All house maintenance falls on the owners. And there are no other ammenities. Wait, we have a rec center, my bad...

This, my community HOA fees I *think* are $39 and that is like jess said for maintenance of the parks and public ways. but they don't do that very well...  I think the reason i really like MP is that the houses are alot like what I am used to from Cali and it has a very neighborly small town feel which I love....

    Hmmmm interesting!

  • Stacy, if you want to see what Marley park is like there is a similar community is Gilbert...it is called Morrison Ranch. The area that you may like that has some homes for sale that may be in your price range with pools is the Higley Groves subdivision and its off of Elliott and Higley.

I have HOUSE fever!!  Like really bad now.  We shouldn't have done it, but we went to look at the outside of a few the other day.  Yesterday I started talking w/a realtor & now I've been checking out listings & want to go see them!!  Ahhhh...I can't wait to get a house!  I'm in love, lol!  Anyone w/me on this one?!?

Um kinda.  Ever since we found, I've been thinking about how we need a bigger house.  I go on realtor.com and torture myself by looking at houses in our price range with 2x the square footage.  As much as I love our house, esp now that 99.9% of the renos are done, we just need more space!

We have to stay in this house until Dec 2012 when the tax credit is forgiven.  If we sell or treat this as an income property we have to pay back the credit.

LOL we have had a few serious convo's about it, we will have to see where we end up for both our jobs location isn't a horrible issue... CJ is all over the valley all day long and well with me being down town I am looking at a commute not matter which side of down town we live =)

  • I know all about the commute...50+ miles each way to work can be a killer...that is why I bought my Camry.  I would have loved to have moved closer to in town but we needed to purchase farther out to get afford the housing.  We actually love it out here, it is very quiet.  Took a little bit to get used to the drive but once I got used to that I don't mind it anymore.

  • My fiance and I just moved into the house we bought on September 2, 2010! We LOVE LOVE LOVE it, it's in the Stetson Valley community off of Happy Valley, we have already met several neighbors and so far everyone is great. So great in fact one of our dogs got out and we had 4 different couples helping us last Sunday night trying to find our beloved Border Collie/Lab mix Marley! (I named him Marley before the movie or the book came out, fyi.) Luckily he came back the next day, but now we are planning a BBQ with the people who helped out! Great way to break the ice and meet new people.

Back to my original reason for my posting, our realtor was wonderful! We looked at houses for close to 9 months, she was so patient and was really there to help us find exactly what we want and for the right price! She knew exactly what we wanted and really catered to our needs. She was very on top of her game and she even bought us a Fridge as a house warming gift!

Her name is Maria Frys her phone number is 480-540-9874 or email her at mfrys@cox.net

Let her know Brandon and Corrie sent you!

Good luck with your house hunting!!! :)
