How could I forget - the traditional Mc (maiden name) family breakfast?!? That when described makes most people cringe?

backstory: My dad is one of 9 children, and I can't imagine what it was like to feed all of those kids. On days short on time, grandma would send my dad and his siblings out the door with a piece of peanut butter toast, which she wrapped around 2 sausage links.

We never let a month go by when we don't have peanut butter toast wrapped around sausages. It's the best combo of greasy, salty and sweet.

I totally want to try this. It sounds so odd but also a delicious at the same time.

Oh, it's so good! You've got to put the sausage links (hot) on the PB toast when it's still warm. The PB melts and gets drippy and if you don't eat over a plate you'll make a mess... but it's delish.

I don't think it's strange, but DH does. I really like fried egg sandwiches with American cheese and peanut butter. It's a protein-packed breakfast!

Now this makes sense...I always eat my scrabbled eggs with american cheese and toast with peanut butter.

  • Chili and cinnamon rolls.  This was part of our school lunch growing up in eastern MT.  Seriously try it; DH wouldn't come near it for 5 years and now he is hooked.  The sweet and spicy together is so good.  I dip the cinnamon rolls in the chili.

Mac n cheese and peaches mixed together--heaven!

Then I dipped my bread IN my wine and it was ever better.  Embarrassed

I dropped an Oreo in a glass of moscato at a BBQ and discovered it was DELISH. So I continued to dip Oreos in there. My buddy brought out a dessert cab/port after that and we continued the Oreo dipfest, it was pretty awesome.

The only other weird thing I eat is lemon juice on french fries. That happened as an accident too, several yrs ago at a WI fish fry - been hooked ever since!

  • I like malt vinegar on my fries. I like fries dipped in mayo (holy heart attack, but so good) I will only eat popcorn with whoppers and I love mustard.

I love love love plain toasted tomato sandwiches, if it weren't for the acidity I'd eat them for every meal.
