The students asked if I wanted to hold the flying squirrel. I declined, I figured he would have been coming too any any moment and I didn't want to be holding him when he did.

The best burgers we make at home are the frozen beef patties from GFS. They totally rock.
I have plenty more stories where that came from if you need others
Do you use a secret seasoning? I've used season salt in the past. I've been getting beef patties from Sobie Meats recently which taste a little better.
I think we do a little bit of seasoning salt and cayanne pepper. I've heard Byron Center meats have good burgers too, but I've personally never tried them. Their steaks are awesome though!

I am obsessing over houses again.
My latest obsession?
A foreclosure on Lake Lure in Evart MI on 140 ft of lk frontage for $65k. She needs work, but I can handle that! I'm obsessed and seriously contemplating driving the 2 hrs to check her out. What an awesome weekend getaway house for the summer and fall. Sigh.
Lots on that lake are selling for $40k. Gah!

I haven't heard it, but really, who believes the story and actually does this? Who uses Western Union now a days? I think you have to be really gullible to fall for this.
I don't think that's a new scam. Unfortunately I know someone who fell for a very similar scam a year ago.
Definitely not new. It's unfortunate.
Very true. I brought it up b/c the house involved in this case was just listed for sale and they live next to a radio personality and they actually called the scammer on the show today. It was interesting to listen to him try and rent this house that he doesn't own. They brought the home owner on the line as well and the guy had the nerve to tell the home owner that he was her husband.
That's interesting that they did that.
