Re: Tuesday Randoms
I manage email communications for a group that I work with. Today I sent out a mailer to our membership. Some guy replied to the email and said that "the stupid retard chick" in his office just blew an air horn and now his ears hurt.
Uhhhh... okay. Obviously, that has absolutely nothing to do with my mailer.
I'm pretty sure that email wasn't meant for me. But I find it to be hilarious. I've been laughing about it for a while now.

Deeder, home ec was not offered at my high school. There were a couple of foods/cooking classes offered. Nothing general like home ec that included sewing though.
JuliD, I've been thinking about buying a new bike this year too. I would probably get a hybrid. I am currently riding the mountain bike that I got when I was 12.
Chymes, bummer that Bohemia Too is closing. I liked visiting there when they were on Monroe Center. Their current location isn't great though.
Sort of along the same lines as this, I got an email sent to my personal email from my boss personal email address (she also sells Mary Kay and I sometimes buy from her) that said in the body "Achieve multiple orgasms with your partner!" with a link. I did not click on it. Yikes. I'm assuming she has a computer virus at home or something.
Now that is funny lol
I am hoping to be able to blog from there. (about the food aspects, too, of course :-) When I went two years ago I was heartbroken because I was taking photos and uploading them to a coworker's laptop . . . and somehow she lost all of them. All I had was from the river safari at the very end of the trip.
This time I'm bringing my own laptop, and our staff said I can borrow a wireless modem. Oh and a digital camera that can take more than 30 pictures at a time.
Apparently Southwest Airlines is having a sale right now - if anyone is looking for airfare to...somewhere...
I wish they'd come to GR already!
I can't wait until they're here! Is there a timeline for that? Aren't they merging with one of the small airlines here. Allegiant? AirTran?
They bought one of the small airlines - I think Allegiant, but not sure - but as far as I'm aware, there have been no announced plans for SW itself to fly in/out of GR (yet). Have you heard differently?
My understanding was that the merger would essentially give us access to Southwest's rates and routes. Or at least that's what the GRR airport officials said they were hoping for. I think it was two or three years out yet, though, from when the merger was announced.
Yeah...the bolded part...to me, that means, "Don't count on it."
