Thursday Randoms

I gave up on finding my keys.  The dealership is making me two as we speak.

No more remote lock or remote start though.  Crying  For now, anyway.

  • Speaking of car problems, I need to go to Auto Zone after work to get new light blubs or fuse.

WOP, any update on your mom?

She got home from the hospital yesterday.  They couldn't find anything wrong on any of the tests they did.  I found out that it started when her hands and face became numb and tingly.  It's currently a medical mystery.  No cancer, no stroke, no heart attack, no diabetes.  The only thing she could think of is that work is really stressful right now.  She's going to take a few days off and see if she feels better.  She's also going to get a few more out patient tests done with her PCP.  My boss suggested maybe she developed an auto-immune disease that causes numbness.  I guess this is something they have to specifically test for.

could she have had a mini stroke? That sometimes will cause tingly feeling and temporary paraylsis of the face. My grandmother had that happen once.

It's always good to not find anything major...but also confusing! Maybe a panic attack if she is really stressed at work. Those can do some strange things. Ts & Ps are with her!

According to the Dr.s there was no sign of stroke big or small.  It's very strange.

Could it be a complex migraine?  I had similar symptoms (numbness in my hand, blurred vision, difficulty getting the correct words out), went to the ER and nothing was wrong.  I didn't even feel like I had a headache.  A few hours later I felt nauseated.  She might think about getting checked out by a neurologist for migraines.

I was going to suggest that same thing. This used to happen to me every few months several years ago. Hand and face went numb/tingly. I couldn't even speak and everything would go blurry. And then dark. It was always at work. My doctor dx me with migraines and i carried a pill with me that would just dissolve on my tongue when i would feel the first symptoms coming on.

I hope she can get some answers soon. Very frustrating to be in that situation.

Oh my cuddly, cuddly baby! He is so sweet!

  • Mira - What a little love he looks to be.

D&M  - sorry about lost keys.

Charity - I agree weddings are very $$$

Add me into the group who wants mani-pedi and also the $$ to get them. Maybe we can start a fundraiser?

  • WOP, is she still having symptoms, or have they all passed.  So scary.

Mira, your certain someone is mighty handsome.  I hope healing is going quickly for you.

D&M someday you will find all of your lost things in one place.

  • We had watermelon with dinner last night.  Life happened, and we both forgot to wrap up and put away the other 1/2 of the melon that wasn't cut.  I need a food safety call - if I were to slice off the exposed end, would it be okay to eat today?

I would eat it.  It might be a little dried out on that end, but it should be fine.

That is going to be a hilarious day.  Can't wait.

I did find my car charger for my phone and a set of spare keys to one of my rentals last night.  Both had been missing for a while, and wouldn't you know, both were in the same spot.  lol.

If it smells okay, looks okay and tastes okay, I would eat it.
